"TopicalBoost Delivers Fast SEO Results with an Easy UI and Responsive Support"
5/5
What do you like best about TopicalBoost?

TopicalBoost needs very little input from us to do its job well, and we started seeing results within just a few weeks. It’s a really effective tool for improving SEO.

The user interface is easy to use. It integrated easily with Wordpress sites. And it does this all for a very reasonable price based on how much content you publish.

In addition, the team behind TopicalBoost is great to work with. They are responsive to questions and helpful with their responses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TopicalBoost?

I don't see any real downsides. For me, it did exactly what I needed to improve our authority as a source for Google, and the resulting traffic showed that it worked. The app performs exactly as advertised.

I suppose the one potential issue is that it's automated system can occasionally get a term wrong, but that's relatively easy to fix. Like any tool that uses AI or similar systems, a human needs to double check. But that's the case with anything like this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear SEO Gains for Our Content"
5/5
What do you like best about TopicalBoost?

Topical boost helps identify keywords for our writers and boosts our SEO, it also provides proof of impact through a Google News feature that shows when we appear in Google News for any search terms.

Since activation on September 17, 2025, Top Stories appearances on our site are at 124, compared to 22 in the seven months immediately before activation.

Cumulative monthly search exposure now totals 13.2 million, up substantially from where we had it pegged in the spring (2.9 million)—high-profile placements landed on terms like "TikTok" (10.2M monthly searches), "Super Tuesday" (744K), and "Outer Banks" (421K).

Average web search position improved from 17.4 to 8.6 over the same window.

The entity-query story is also interesting. In May 2026, eight of the top ten organic queries driving clicks to our site were entity-rich—specific people, specific bills, specific events your editors are actually covering. The site now ranks position 1 for "highway patrol" (7,184 clicks/month), position 1.7 for "heather ammel," position 2.8 for "roy cooper polls," position 3.5 for "north carolina senate race," position 4.7 for "decarlos brown jr," and position 5.9 for "mark robinson." That's TopicalBoost's structured data doing what it's supposed to: connecting the entities your editors mention to Google's Knowledge Graph so the right pages surface for the right queries.

One specific query worth calling out: "constitutional carry states" went from 18 clicks at position 9.8 pre-activation to 1,059 clicks at position 1.8 after—roughly a 60x increase on a single search term. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TopicalBoost?

On occasion, topical boost will choose a search term that is irrelevant to the article (say a person with a similar name to someone in the story, but not the proper person), however, the ability to remove that selection before publishing pretty much solves that issue. "Search Clippings Dashboard Makes Performance Reporting and Strategy Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about TopicalBoost?

The Search Clippings dashboard has been the most helpful. Being able to see screenshots, estimated traffic and how long an article appeared in Google Top Stories is incredibly useful for measuring performance and reporting results. Knowing where we rank against other websites helps inform content strategy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TopicalBoost?

Sometimes the SEO descriptions generator will go over the character count guidelines. I’m able to trim them manually but that's a small task given the overall value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Hand-Tagging That Boosted Our Visibility on Google"
4.5/5
What do you like best about TopicalBoost?

Hand-tagging the ideas and concepts we cover helps us keep track of coverage and surface older content when it is relevant. It's also helped us get more visible in Google's Top Stories (36 times since activation, versus zero before). Our top-3 keyword count also tripled, from 135 at activation to about 405 today. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TopicalBoost?

Topic tagging took a little time to figure out, but now it's pretty seamless. Also, there is some occasional mislabeling (e.g., of public figures) but we can fix that quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"TopicalBoost delivers."
5/5
What do you like best about TopicalBoost?

It's incorporated best SEO practices into our website that keep us relevant to Search engines and AI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TopicalBoost?

I've found nothing to dislike. The price is reasonable, the benefits are remarkable. UI/UX has been relatively easy for our web team handing the integration. I'm not a tech guy, so I've had to rely on our tech guys to dumb it down for me. Ultimately, all I care about is "does it work" and "does it work at a great price" and the answer was yes on both counts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
