## TinyMCE Pricing FAQs

Generated using AI

Is TinyMCE free, or does it offer a free trial?

Yes. According to G2 data, TinyMCE offers a free plan with limited features. Users can upgrade to paid plans for additional capabilities. Visit the seller's official pricing page to compare plan options and features.

How much does TinyMCE cost in 2026?

According to G2 data, TinyMCE pricing in 2026 starts at $79.00 and can reach $145.00 depending on the selected plan. Pricing may vary based on billing terms or usage, so users should review the Tiny Technologies, Inc.'s official pricing page for the most current details.

Who is TinyMCE pricing best suited for?

TinyMCE's pricing structure suits a range of users, but G2 review data reveals distinct patterns by segment. Individual developers and small startups benefit most from the free Core tier for prototyping or low-traffic applications. Small businesses in computer software, marketing, and IT services frequently appear among G2 reviewers using entry-level paid plans to access professional support and advanced features. Mid-market companies in IT, financial services, and healthcare gravitate toward the Essential or Professional tiers for higher editor load limits and productivity features. Enterprise organizations needing custom loads, self-hosting, or dedicated support are best served by TinyMCE's Enterprise tier, which offers flexible, negotiated packaging.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of TinyMCE?

TinyMCE's free Core tier provides cloud-hosted access to core editing features with a 1,000 editor loads per month cap and community-only support. G2 reviewers frequently note that many valuable features, including PowerPaste, collaboration tools, compliance features, and language packs, are locked behind paid plans. TinyMCE's paid plans start at $79/month for the Essential tier, which raises the load limit to 5,000 and adds a commercial license, professional support, and advanced productivity and document organization features. The Professional tier at $145/month further expands to 20,000 loads and adds compliance and translation features. Add-ons like AI Assistant, Word import/export, and PDF export are available across paid tiers at additional cost.

Is TinyMCE considered good value for its pricing?

TinyMCE's value perception is mixed across G2 reviewers, largely depending on company size and usage scale. Many G2 reviewers praise TinyMCE as a reliable, feature-rich editor worth the investment, with one enterprise reviewer calling it 'flexible and fairly priced.' However, pricing concerns are a recurring theme, particularly among small businesses and mid-market users who find advanced features locked behind paid tiers costly. A few G2 users reported frustration with price hikes and complex overage billing. That said, the free Core tier's availability and the breadth of features in paid plans lead many developers to view TinyMCE's pricing as justified, especially given the development time saved by avoiding building a custom editor.

"Rich Features, Easy Setup, But Pricey Add-Ons"

3.5/5

What do you like best about TinyMCE?

I use TinyMCE in multiple scenarios where I need rich text components, such as a Blog Post page. TinyMCE offers a multitude of features out of the box, which significantly speeds up the development process. Features like tables, formatting, and the ability to work with images are incredibly valuable as they address client requests for complex functionalities easily. The solutions provided by TinyMCE are often very clean and simple, which is something my clients greatly appreciate due to the excellent user experience the library provides. Moreover, getting started quickly for rich text needs is possible with TinyMCE because of its detailed and well-structured documentation, especially for libraries like ReactJS. This makes the initial setup extremely easy and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TinyMCE?

While the core TinyMCE editor is open source, many advanced features require a paid version. In several cases, clients are unwilling to pay for these additional features. This pricing structure limits access to the complete functionality, impacting the ability to fully utilize TinyMCE's offerings. It would be more appealing if the essential plan were less expensive, making it more accessible to a broader range of users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use TinyMCE for rich text components like Blog Post pages. Its features, such as tables, formatting, and images, speed up development and satisfy client requests with clean and simple solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
