TimeXtender has become my tool of choice for repititive data tasks in our daily workdorce. To solve our problem with data availability we use TimeXtender, we had difficulty making decisions based on data because it was scattered in different places and came from various sources like CRMs or marketing tools. Our IT department had implemented in our workforce. Its a game changer for our organization, the interface is remarkably user-friendly even for beginners , I did't have to request for large coding from our development team to build data pipelines, and the drag-and-drop feature facilitated connections to different data sources in our organization. It took us only a short period of time to get integrated and implement TimeXTender as ou IT department installed it without trouble or delay. Presentaly we use it every day when doing monotonous task such as cleansing and transforming information in databases. That gives us an oppornutiy to study the numbers and the patterns they form so that we can compu with valuable insights from them. The customer support team is great, their expertise comes in handy whenever there queries that need clarification or any problem that require solving together. Most of the existing client cases are simple and for little to medium complex companies. Ease of use. Easy to connect several data sources, especially after the implementation of the TX Rest connector. This enables users to set up API connections more easy than through the CDATA connector with the necessary RSD files. Although some improvements can still be made. The drag and drop interface easily allows for transformations with low-code/no code and easily integrates the incremental and history features when necessary in the datawarehouse. The customer support is easy to reach, responds quickly and helpfully. Furthermore, the integration of the Orchestration, orginally from Exmon, now allows for an integrated and holistic way of loading all data, from every datasource up to the final data visualization tooling. Next to that, TX now will keep the v20 version alive, which is a lifesaver for some of our clients that do not want their repository ending up somewhere in the cloud. The new (6xxx) version of TX hasn't been an improvement in all aspects of the new functionalities; some functionalities are lost. The ODX server and the fact that the repository is not available anymore, leads to loss of valuable information in case of connectivity issues and/or errors. The ability to simply load from ODX all the way up to semantic models in one simple execution package is less efficient, due to the data on demand functionality. We have had cases where loading a full ODX load and then the full datawarehouse was more efficient in terms of time than when using the data on demand functionality. The holostic approach of TX is beneficial for clients since the tool allows for data connections, data transformations and loading data in semantic models which immediately pushes the datamodel in their BI tool. TimeXtender allows you to quickly set-up a data warehouse. It's relatively easy to extract data from simple sources and load them into your data warehouse. Loading more complex sources into TimeXtender is a challenge. If you have an easy to use REST API it's not very difficult, but if you need to apply pagination for example it requires more technical knowledge. Another thing is the collaboration. Collaboration itself is fine, but it's sometimes difficult to develop small pieces of code. By using drag-and-drop features you can easily set-up a data warehouse without having to write any code.
