What do you like best about TierPoint?

What do you dislike about TierPoint?

Complete lack of proactive management; did not notice when a production website went offline for 12+ hours, zero cost-saving recommendations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is TierPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?

TierPoint’s service did not meet expectations. Despite paying for Premium Services, we experienced preventable AWS account suspensions and billing issues after relying on TierPoint’s management. Proactive cost-savings and optimization were our our primary reason for engaging TierPoint however they were not delivered despite repeated requests. Meaningful recommendations came only after concerns were raised. One such recommendation was to close an AWS account they believed dormant only to discover it was connected to one of our production website. While TierPoint provided a goodwill credit ($650) for one outage, the broader gaps in management, monitoring, and optimization limited the value of the service. What do you like best about TierPoint?

I appreciate TierPoint for their exceptional management of our hosting needs, especially in hosting our Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions and providing support with outsourcing management, security, and configuration. Their security certifications, such as SOC, ISO, PCI, and HIPAA, are invaluable as they allow us to pass these assurances on to our clients, enhancing our credibility and the trust factor with our customers. What do you like best about TierPoint?

Their reliability is totally exemplary. We very rarely see any issues with their services and when there is going to be any expected downtime they are very proactive about reaching out to us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I honestly do not have much to highlight here. TierPoint is truly one of our best vendor partners. The only comment I may have to bring up is that sometimes there is a bit too much in the portal interface and it becomes challenging to digest it all. But this is a minor complaint. Recommendations to others considering TierPoint:

What I like best about TierPoint is the consistent environment they provide for running our servers. The convenient location of their data center perfectly suits our needs, making on-site maintenance straightforward and easy. What do you dislike about TierPoint?

One aspect of TierPoint that I find challenging is their physical security, which is also something I appreciate. During emergency maintenance or when a server goes offline, the process of signing in and accessing my server rack can take longer than I'd like. Recommendations to others considering TierPoint:

Over the years, we've explored various options for managing our online infrastructure, including running our own data center and using other co-location facilities. However, TierPoint has proven to be the best choice for us. They are very cost-efficient, eliminating the need for us to invest in generators, battery backups, networking equipment, environmental controls, and more. TierPoint handles all of this for us and has been consistently reliable.

Their multiple layers of physical security ensure that our investment in equipment is well-protected. While we primarily use their facility to host our equipment, TierPoint offers a wide range of cloud computing solutions. Their extensive network of data centers across the country provides a variety of mixed solutions and flexibility. I appreciate that they tailor solutions to meet our specific needs. TierPoint addresses several critical issues for us. We never have to worry about our internet connection, as it is always reliable. Power and cooling are consistently stable, eliminating any concerns in those areas. "Very good datacenter with lots of extras"

TierPoint is a datacenter provider. They offer a space for running your datacenter equipment. This includes heavy security (badges with retinal scan and mantraps to enter) plus they manage the power, HVAC, and connectivity options.
