Initially, they provided not too bad links, but after about six months, they started offering extremely poor quality ones. They resorted to using content farms and even engaged in ghost linking, where they claimed to have delivered links without actually doing so. This approach included inserting unrelated paragraphs into articles, which was acknowledged by their Customer Success Manager when confronted about it. Their failure to stick to their agreement of delivering authentic, genuine, high-quality links was frustrating. Investing over 200K USD with them didn't yield the results expected, and it affected our online reputation negatively. **What problems is TheHOTH solving and how is that benefiting you?** They aimed to build website authority with top quality links but ended up reducing link quality, impacting our SEO and online reputation. ### 2. It's improved over the years and it still has a ways to go. The second item is (2) the stats and reporting are a bit shallow and inflexible. And when there is something unexpected, a Google Core Update, an increase in competition, a client expansion, whatever, the research and strategy from the Hoth for taking new actions is excellent, and reliable. Both of these things, quality content creation and managing the unexpected, take considerable time for our agency to do on our own and it’s a pleasure to have a provider who can take on these tasks, and allow our supervision and collaboration, and have it all done so well and always on time. However, they don't provide managed PPC (Pay-Per-Click) anymore, so you might need to find someone else for that. We're using Hoth X and have used individual services, like blog/guest blog writing or the new AI blog service, as a one offs and the content is always great. **What do you dislike about TheHOTH?** My only criticism to TheHoth, and it's super minor, would be for the AI blog service. I would recommend adding more of a human touch to the copy after AI spits out the content. We've written a lot of blogs where AI has been edited and I feel like the copy I received had a lot of elements of AI still in it. For example, AI likes to use the word "crucial" a lot. Everything is a crucial element for success (as far as our industry / output we've received) and I found it in my copy a bit too much for me. During my 6 months as a Hoth-X customer, I received a number of what I can only describe as “used-car-salesman”-type pump talks from various HOTH people on the phone and by email, telling me I should just trust them to pay their exorbitant fees, and I would end up with more customers. I feel completely and absolutely deceived by this whole scam Hoth company. I spent approximately $6000 CAD yet received just 4 (four) clicks on the 2 new so-called "service pages" Max and his people created during the entire roughly 5 months dealing with this company. That’s right! Just 4 clicks, and none of them became paying customers, either. My own analytic software back this up. I am also not comfortable with the “fake media reviews” which Hoth inserted into Facebook and elsewhere, written by their freelance writers with poor English in Malaysia, India and elsewhere--apparently to trick Google’s algorithyms into believing they are real customers? So much of what The Hoth did in terms of SEO left my feeling “dirty”, like the whole SEO game they were selling is to try to misrepresent my website to Google in order to trick Google’s engine to bring me to the top. I am an honest person, and an honest businessperson to. After 5 months of ZERO results with Hoth-X, I finally took a hard look at the numbers and my own analytics software, and looking in the mirror I realized I had been “scammed”.
