What do you like best about Tendermint?

What do you dislike about Tendermint?

I personally also have come to like structured logging (as parsable json or key-value pairs). You can output to stdout, and then other system tools can feed it an elk stack or similar. This is great for insights on a production system. Maybe one day tendermint will be a self-maintaining, self-healing, self-debugging system. But we are still far from there.

What problems is Tendermint solving and how is that benefiting you?

First things first: semantics. Tendermint Core, the piece of software, is used synonymously with Tendermint, the organization that’s implementing Tendermint Core and the Cosmos Network software stack. Technically, Tendermint Core is a low-level protocol which is actually composed of two protocols in one: a consensus algorithm and a peer-to-peer networking protocol. Jae Kwon and Ethan Buchman, inspired by the design goal behind Raft and PBFT, specified Tendermint as an easy to understand, developer-friendly algorithm while doing algorithmically complex systems engineering. What do you like best about Tendermint?
