I use Technomatix Plant Simulation every day for work, we have been using Tecnomatix to create a digital twin of our processes and have found the simulation to be just as accurate as real world results when most of the variables are accounted for and modeled within the simulation. Building highly accurate simulations of processes definitely had a learning curve within each process, but the payoff has been huge. After using this software for about a year I feel that the program is easy to use and provides enough features to accomplish what I'm set out to do for that day. Implementation of completed simulations becomes easy once model runs consist of editing a few variables and running again, especially when compared to grouping employees in a case study that takes time, effort, and money that would better off be used elsewhere. I've heard that Plant Sim specifically can be easily integrated into other applications, such as the exporting of data to excel, however I personally have not used them.

Personal favorites of Tecnomatix are the 3D modes for viewing models, camera settings for integrating flythroughs of planned areas, as well as easy integration of 3D models that I can import into my simulation to make my models look better. Sometimes there are a few issues within the app, but the customer support has been amazing, and generally results in them personnaly connecting with you to help fix your issue. With Tecnomatix Plan Simulation, i was able to improve production line times and search for the best layout organization before the machines start to be placed, in some other cases i was able to help the customer control all of the production line from the moment the parts/materials are delivered to the plant to the time the final product is loaded into the truck for distribuition, improving the production line times. All of these was very easy to do and very straight forward since you can take different aproaches like using only a 2D sheet with the layout, with all the flow charts, or you can go to the detail of a complete representation of the complete factory, including robots, trucks, collaborators and get a better insight on how everything would look like and take better decisions while making changes.

Other part of Tecnomatics is Process Simulate (Robot and Human) and this one was very helpful on robotics cells since we can program the robot in the software and make all the necessary changes to it, and corrections to its paths and positions, this was very helpful to a customer that creates and builds Welding robotic cells. With the Human Add-on i was able to improve some parts of the production line with the focus on the operator and all the positions and fatigue related to specific works that were needed to be done, avoiding repetitive movements that could evolve into an injury and also check for reach to determined parts and tools, in which the size, weight and shape of it will be use in association with the regional specific body average size and shape, like a worker from europe has a different body average when compared wth an asian.

Some of the downsides of the software, is that it will require some time to learn how to use it due to the complex and comprehensive funcionalities, and also the system integration with different ERP and MES softwares that requires an indepth knowledge of those systems.
