Before moving to Google Drive, we had to worry about making sure our backups were maintained in-house, which was a pretty stressful task for a small business with a limited IT budget. With SysCloud, it just works. Delete a file by mistake? You can go get it. Overall, it’s a great tool for small businesses that want to protect their data at an affordable price. **What do you dislike about SysCloud?** The only negative I can point to is that when a new Shared Drive is created, it doesn’t prompt us to choose whether we want it backed up. So if someone creates a Shared Drive and then forgets about SysCloud, there’s a risk it won’t be backed up. I understand this may be a security feature, so SysCloud can’t automatically see or access all of our Google infrastructure. Still, it would be helpful to at least receive a notification when a new Shared Drive is created. **What problems is SysCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** Super easy UI that integrates with Google Shared Drives. ### 2. It gives me confidence that I can delete old users when I am no longer wanting to keep them archived as a user. It's super easy to integrate, all you do is enable it, nothing else. **What do you dislike about SysCloud?** The navigation on the dashboard takes some getting used to. **What problems is SysCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows me to delete the users from workspace, either I have to keep them as active users which is a seat fee, or even an archived user which is also at a fee. Long term it is wasteful spending, when SysCloud already is keeping a back up of the contents. If i really need access to them I can restore it. ### 3. It is a superior service to Backupify in every way. A few months ago I had to retrieve a video from a google drive. The owner of the drive was no longer with the district. The file I needed was from 2021. I used syscloud and found the video file I needed and we were able to use it in an upcoming court case. Without Syscloud I would not have been able to get the file. Thanks Syscloud! **What do you dislike about SysCloud?** The retrieval of items a few years old can take 24 hours or so...but honestly that is better than not being able to retireve the file at all. **What problems is SysCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** Syscloud solves the issue of retrieval of information that has been removed from the Google Drive accounts of users. If a user deletes a file it is in google drive for 30 days, but it will remain in a syslcould backup. More than once we had incidents where files were deleted from Google Drive (on accident and on purpose). SysCloud saved the day because I was able to restore the files in seconds, rather than tell the end user "sorry you must have deleted that!" In addition, knowing that we are protected if a ransomware or malware incident occurs is verty reassuring. Beyond the backup capabilities...we love the file insights that we can use to "red flag" any concerns that otherwise we wouldn't know about, such as a user suddenly uploading Gigabytes of movie files, or bulk deleting files and folders impulsively. **What do you dislike about SysCloud?** Our dislikes are not many as we have had nothing but good experiences while using SysCloud during the past 4 years. Once I had to reach out to their customer support when I goty frustrated and couldn't figure out the best way to retrieve a file. It turns out it was named something different and their customer support was quick to help! The downside there was my frustration trying to figure out the best way to search, but their tech support crew is there to help as long as you are not stubborn like me, just ask them! **What problems is SysCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** SysCloud is helping us to solve the concerns that arise when going 100% to cloud-only based storage. Our campus is nearing 95% ChromeOS devices, thus our reliance on Google Drive is of the upmost importance. Before SysCloud, we were at the mercy of Google auto-deleting files after 30 days (unless the user emptied their trash themselves). Now we have no worries about missing or deleted files/folders because the SysCloud backup acts as our redundant platform where we can retrieve files. In addition, other content such as calendar entries and even Google Classroom data can be backed up as well, so consider SysCloud to be your solution for safekeeping ALL your Google Workspace data. ### 14. Set up the backups that you want to keep for certain OUs and Syscloud does the rest. It is simple and even the end users can go in there and restore their own backups. Implementation is as easy as signing in with your Google workspace account and letting it populate. **What do you dislike about SysCloud?** Some features are missing, such as the ability to delete your own backups and users. You might delete a user from Google Admin, but that doesn't automatically remove them from Syscloud and they still take up one of your licenses. The only way to delete the user and their backups is by contact Syscloud support and having them do it. **What problems is SysCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** Syscloud is making sure that we have a complete backup of all of our files and Google Drives. Our organization stores most things in Google's Cloud and it is imperative that we have complete backups of everything. ### 15. On the app side, backing up Google Workspace is simple to do and the options are great. **What do you dislike about SysCloud?** The process to go through to not be charged sales tax was not as streamlined as I would have liked. I didn't take that into accont and let my trial get to close to expiration before realizing I needed help. I can access the content directly on the Syscloud platform instead of downloading the email or drive. We can preview the subject of the documents. Easy search feature is available. **What do you dislike about SysCloud?** It would be great if an incremental backup is applied for twice or thrice a day instead once a day as we lose an email if the user permanently deletes it once they receive it. To my surprise, the process turned out to be remarkably straightforward and the system functioned flawlessly right off the bat. On one occasion, when I encountered a query, I was promptly scheduled for a web meeting within the next 15 minutes with an exceptionally knowledgeable individual.
