Synthro HR Reviews & Product Details

Synthro is an all-in-one HR and people management platform built exclusively for South African businesses — not a global tool adapted for SA law, but designed from the ground up around BCEA, CCMA, B-BBEE, SETA, EEA, and POPIA. Most SA SMEs manage HR on Excel, WhatsApp, or paper. This costs them: the average CCMA unfair dismissal claim costs R85,000+ in back pay and penalties. Synthro solves this with tamper-proof, timestamped audit trails on every employment action — automatically exportable as CCMA-ready PDF evidence. Key capabilities include: all 16 BCEA leave types auto-calculated, 360° performance reviews and OKR tracking, B-BBEE scorecard automation (QSE, EME, and Generic frameworks), SETA skills development and WSP/ATR reporting, CCMA dispute documentation, timesheets with BCEA overtime auto-applied (1.5× after 9 hours/day or 45 hours/week), and the only official SimplePay payroll API integration available in SA — no double-entering payroll data. Setup takes 15 minutes. Import your existing Excel employee list, and the system is live. No IT department needed, no long implementation project. Pricing starts at R69.99 per user per month — roughly 42% cheaper than Sage HR for comparable SA compliance features — with a 14-day free trial and no credit card required. Who it's for: South African businesses with 5–500 employees in professional services, construction, logistics, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and tech who need to stop managing HR on spreadsheets without hiring a full-time HR manager.
