What do you like best about Surfer?

The content editor within Surfer is second-to-none. We've tried a couple of other competitor products and they're not only less user-friendly, but we don't see the same level of success. Just in the last week we jumped straight onto the first page of SERPs with 5 new articles that we optimised with Surfer.

The audit function that Surfer offer is also extremely helpful for grading old content and gaining ideas for how to improve it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Surfer?

I don't like the keyword research functionality and the way that it creates topic clusters that can't be modified. We use it, but in conjunction with an external keyword research tool and never create the content editors directly from the topic clusters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I do want the ability to use AI to re-write sections of the final content. I believe this is a function that the developers are working to add. I also think it would be nice if we could add Headings that we want to use to make the content more sophisticated, natural and complete. These things I believe will be coming soon. Miles ahead of the competition compared to other tools I've used. The content editor is the real star of the show. The audit is a fantastic way of refining older bits of content and I've already seen SERP movement by making just a few small changes.
