It's fairly simple to publish updates, which I find convenient. Tracking the status of components is probably one of the more valuable features for us, as it lets us quickly and easily communicate the status of each component for a given platform. **What do you dislike about Supernova?** I find the content editor difficult to work with, especially since copy/pasting isn't easy. Tables within the content are very painful to use due to this. It would be awesome if it had a markdown mode to simplify content creation. The exporters were a letdown for mobile applications; in general, Supernova doesn't support mobile as well as we hoped. The initial setup was a little confusing. Flipping between design systems created some confusion, and it took us a bit of time to orient ourselves and understand the limits, like the number of sub-sections allowed. Also, we don't integrate with other tools, which is unfortunate, and I wish Supernova could be used with Figma files. **What problems is Supernova solving and how is that benefiting you?** I find Supernova useful for hosting documentation and tracking component status, even though exporters didn't meet our needs, and it struggles with mobile support. The content editor is a pain to use, especially with tables, and copy-pasting is awkward. I wish it had markdown mode. ### 2. Pipelines are very fast and easy to create, although we did have to customize ours to fit our needs. The Figma plugin is also very useful and straightforward to use. On top of that, the new structure of the website is much better as well. **What do you dislike about Supernova?** Documenting components via MCP isn’t possible right now, and that’s the biggest missing piece in our overall pipeline with Supernova. The pipelines could also be stronger and more customizable. For example, on the web side we ended up creating our own pipeline because we couldn’t achieve the Tailwind structure we were aiming for. We’re using the native Supernova plugin in Figma, but the supported token types still aren’t sufficient. Because Supernova wasn’t picking up those token types from our design system, we had to do a lot of manual work in Supernova and remove those items from Figma to keep things consistent. **What problems is Supernova solving and how is that benefiting you?** Supernova has been great for us because it makes it easy to sync tokens and components from Figma to Supernova. From there, we can set up different pipelines for web, mobile, and other platforms without much hassle. ### 3. Importing frames works great sometimes, but other times it's a little bit on the erratic part. We don't want it to be allocated on Supernova servers, hence we cannot use the Storybook module to add dev documentation **What problems is Supernova solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use a lot Supernova MCP to check docs with agents, and this is a feature that both designers and developers use for multiple purposes. Information in these areas was either inaccessible by everyone or became old and static very quickly. I really appreciate the synchronization of tokens and assets, which is very useful for my workflow. I also highly value the 24-hour support portal. The initial setup of Supernova was very simple, as I have used the tool before, and I like that it already comes with some pages created to explore the potential of all the blocks. Additionally, the support on Slack is super fast, which makes the product stand out among its competitors. **What do you dislike about Supernova?** The visualization of tokens is sometimes complex, as they do not appear the same as in Figma. If I have several typography modes, I cannot see them in Supernova, which forces me to create several blocks where the typographies are imported at different breakpoints, but no one understands it well because it doesn't look like in Figma. It is also not intuitive when variables need to be deleted; sometimes it doesn't allow it, and it would be great if a modal appeared informing how to delete them correctly. The SSO part was complicated; there were many issues because people couldn't log in with their email and had to create an account first with the company's email. This caused a loss of confidence in the product. The platform sometimes crashes and runs slowly. **What problems is Supernova solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Supernova to document component patterns and keep tokens synchronized between code and Figma, which makes it easy to see which components are aligned with development and which are not. I love that it's customizable so our devs can adjust the code output to meet their needs. I found setting it up initially really easy and I think the onboarding has improved recently, which is great. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Supernova; I'd give it a solid 9 out of 10. **What do you dislike about Supernova?** There've been some slowdowns when putting in documentation blocks or making a new build, which adds more weight to the process of modifying or adding pages. Tracking the usage of Portal Ask AI is also challenging since we don't know if people are using it or not.
