"Summit Makes QuickBooks Multiuser Access Possible from Anywhere"
5/5
What do you like best about Summit Application Hosting?

Summit hosts our QuickBooks program - allows for multiuser with access for all our users from anywhere. We had a server built for the purpose to host in our office, but could never get it to work with users that were not in the office. Summit is a solution that we had been seeking for the last 6 years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Summit Application Hosting?

There is always a delay in printing or saving a pdf from the server. Often there is a delay in typing or entering data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jamie Pechak of Summit Application Hosting

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! We're glad Summit solved remote multiuser access to QuickBooks for your team after such a long search. Regarding the delay, our support team would be happy to look into that if you want to book some time with them? Feel free to set something up here: http://summithq.com/book-support. And thank you for being a Summit customer. 🙏

"Frequent Connection Drops Make Summit Hosting Hard to Rely On Along With Not Great Tech Support"
1/5
What do you like best about Summit Application Hosting?

Not a whole lot. I don't think I could name 1 think I really like about Summit Hosting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Summit Application Hosting?

Connection is dropping all the time...not an internet issue because our internet does not go out when it disconnects. Dealing with the service team is never fun. You don't get the same person responding to you, no one knows what's going on. And they run you in circles because they don't know either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jamie Pechak of Summit Application Hosting

I'm sorry, that's super frustrating. You shouldn't have to keep explaining the same issue to different people. I've passed this along to our support team. If you book a 1:1 call, you'll work with one person who can stick with it until the disconnects are fixed: https://summithq.com/book-support. We'd like the chance to make this right if you'll let us!

"Effortless User Access with Robust Management"
4/5
What do you like best about Summit Application Hosting?

I like that Summit Application Hosting makes user interaction easy and fast by allowing remote access instead of requiring our users to install our heavy app. I appreciate the easy options for managing the infrastructure and the support for auto-scaling. The easy management has been the best thing for me, as I do not need to invest my time working on the underlying infrastructure, which saves a lot of time and effort for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Summit Application Hosting?

The pricing could be cheaper, and the initial setup wasn't seamless, making it moderately challenging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly, Secure, and Affordable—Support When You Need It"
3/5
What do you like best about Summit Application Hosting?

The site is user friendly and easy to log into our platform. I feel that the security features are strong and the pricing is affordable. I think the support team is readily available; however, I don't really ever need to utilize their assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Summit Application Hosting?

There isn't anything I dislike in particular, sometimes the loading of my site is slower than it should be, but I don't think that is a Summit issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jamie Pechak of Summit Application Hosting

Thank you for taking the time to share this! We're so glad logging in is easy and that you feel good about the security and pricing. On the slow load times, we'd still love to take a look, even if the cause is somewhere else. Reach out to our support team anytime and they'll help track it down. Thanks, Erin!

"Reliable Hosting That Simplifies Infrastructure, Backed by Responsive Support"
4/5
What do you like best about Summit Application Hosting?

What I like most is that Summit takes a lot of the day-to-day complexity out of application hosting. The platform has been reliable, and it’s helpful not having to spend as much time thinking about the underlying infrastructure, maintenance and performance. When support is needed, the team is responsive and knowledgeable, which makes troubleshooting much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Summit Application Hosting?

My main issue is the pricing when you need to add more storage or CPU. The core service is reliable, but scaling resources can get expensive quite quickly, so I’d like to see a bit more flexibility there. The admin side could also be more intuitive for making simple changes without needing support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jamie Pechak of Summit Application Hosting

Thanks for this! Love that you’re spending less time on infrastructure and more time in the applications you use. And yes, having one team to call when something breaks makes life a lot easier. Totally hear you on storage and CPU costs adding up. Re: the admin comment, all customers have admin access to make changes without needing support. Feel free to reach out to your account manager anytime and they’ll look at your setup with you. Thanks again! Appreciate you!

"Hosted Outside Our Environment for Added Data Security"
5/5
What do you like best about Summit Application Hosting?

The software is hosted outside our environment, which adds an extra layer of security for our data. The pricing is competitive. Pricing can be pieced together to fit your needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Summit Application Hosting?

When a software update needs to be done, everyone has to be out of the server, even if they aren't using that software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jamie Pechak of Summit Application Hosting

Emily, thank you! Reviews like this are a good day around here. We're glad you're appreciating having your whole org use the software at the same time, and that the security and pricing pieces are working well.

As for the software updates, we can definitely schedule maintenance windows at a more convenient time. Feel free to give your account manager a nudge and we'll be happy to set that up for you. Glad you're with us, and thanks again!

"This platform solved our server scaling issues during traffic spikes"
4/5
What do you like best about Summit Application Hosting?

Performance-PFA bare metal server options deliver outstanding performance and low latency for data-intensive applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Summit Application Hosting?

In a multi-region setup, it’s difficult to generate historical bandwidth-usage charts without the web control panel freezing. Provisioning custom private clouds can take more than 40 hours, and there are no clear indicators showing whether the status is changing during that time. Access management for external audit access is also still very complicated and limited. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Support but Pricey Storage"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Summit Application Hosting?

I really appreciate the great MSP support and tooling that Summit Application Hosting offers. It's important for us as MSP administrators to have full access on the remote host, which allows us to help troubleshoot effectively and add value for our clients. When needed, Summit can offer full support as well. Additionally, the client is fast and reliable, making operations smooth and efficient. The initial setup was very easy, which was a big plus for getting started quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Summit Application Hosting?

Storage amounts are too restrictive and too expensive to upgrade. They charge way higher than competitors for additional storage. The storage amount out of the box is far too low, and the rate for additional storage is too high. Storage amounts should not be a limiting factor in our choice to offer Summit to clients and continues to be a pain point for existing clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Summit Application Hosting?

I like the ease of support I get by using Summit Application Hosting. Which is more reliable than if we managed the remote desktop in house Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Summit Application Hosting?

"Easy Anywhere Access, Convenience, and Fast Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Summit Application Hosting?

Being able to access my company files from both the office and home, as well as reach files from multiple locations without having to travel, has been a huge help. Whenever we need support, we receive quick responses and the issues are resolved very fast. It’s user-friendly and has noticeably improved our workflow across the company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Summit Application Hosting?

So far, I haven’t found anything I dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jamie Pechak of Summit Application Hosting

Thanks for the kind words! Going from five road trips to one home office commute down the hall is quite a lifestyle upgrade. Your owner's car might miss him, but we bet his calendar doesn't. We're thrilled the team is getting quick fixes and a smoother workflow across the company. Here's to putting fewer miles on the car and getting more done!
