"Fast and Lightweight, but Missing Built-In Debugging and Git Integration"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Sublime Text?

What I like most about Sublime Text is how fast and lightweight it is. It launches almost instantly and handles large code files smoothly without any noticeable lag. Features like multiple cursors and the distraction-free UI also make a real difference, helping me stay focused and boosting my day-to-day development productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sublime Text?

It lacks out-of-the-box advanced features like built-in debugging and native Git integration, which require installing external packages. Also, the frequent licensing popups in the evaluation version can be a bit distracting during long coding sessions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Lightweight Editor with Smart Features."
5/5
What do you like best about Sublime Text?

Sublime Text stands out for its clean UI/UX and extremely fast performance, even when I’m working with large files. It also offers strong plugin-based integrations, which makes my workflow more flexible and easy to tailor to what I need. The pricing feels like a great ROI, especially since the free version is still quite powerful. Onboarding is straightforward and backed by solid community support, and intelligent features like quick commands and helpful suggestions make day-to-day work smoother while boosting productivity. What do you dislike about Sublime Text?

It doesn’t handle larger files well, because it crashes whenever I try to open them. One drawback of Sublime Text is that some advanced features depend heavily on plugins, which can make the setup feel less seamless, even though the UI/UX is clean. The integrations are powerful, but they’re not always as out of the box as with other tools.

Performance is excellent overall, but the lack of built-in advanced tooling (such as full IDE capabilities) can impact productivity on more complex projects. The paid license, while reasonable, can also feel unnecessary given the strong free alternatives, which affects the perceived ROI.

Onboarding takes some initial effort since you often need to configure packages yourself, and although there are intelligent features, it still lacks deeper AI-driven capabilities compared to newer editors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empower Developers with speed, power, simplicity, and versatility"
5/5
What do you like best about Sublime Text?

What truly stands out is the exceptional startup speed and lightweight performance. Compared to heavier IDEs like Eclipse or STS, Sublime Text launches instantly and allows me to begin coding without delay. The interface is minimal and distraction-free, which helps maintain focus and productivity.

Features like Multiple Cursors, Command Palette, Split Editing, and extensive plugin support significantly enhance efficiency. I also appreciate the strong community support and availability of online resources whenever issues arise. Over time, I have transitioned from Eclipse to Sublime Text, and currently I use it for the majority of my development work due to its simplicity and performance advantage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sublime Text?

While Sublime Text excels in speed and flexibility, the absence of built-in integrated debugging is a noticeable limitation. Native debugging support would greatly enhance the development workflow and make it more competitive with full-featured IDEs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast and simple editor for writing blog and website drafts and notes"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Sublime Text?

I recently started using Sublime Text for my work as a Dietician & Nutritionist, clinic manager, and health education content creator, and it has settled well into how I prepare my drafts. I mainly use it to write notes and content that later get used for articles shared on different blogs and websites. It opens very fast and feels simple, so I can focus on writing instead of settings or setup.

I use it regularly while working on health-related content and clinic notes. I can keep a few drafts open at the same time and move between them easily when I am preparing material for articles, social posts, or teaching sessions. It has enough features for what I need, but it does not feel heavy or complicated for daily writing work.

It also fits well with how I work because I can prepare content in one place and then use the same material for different platforms when needed. Overall, it has become a comfortable tool for drafting and organizing my content and notes in one place, without slowing down my routine work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sublime Text?

One small thing I noticed is that if I close a file by mistake, I have to browse again to find and open it. When I am working with many draft files at once, this breaks my flow a bit. Sometimes I also miss having quick previews of files when switching between drafts, especially when many files have similar names. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
