The entire process, from incorporation and issuing stock to filing the 83(b) election, is automated and seamless. Their banking partnerships are a standout feature; we had our Mercury bank account open before the incorporation was even complete. The platform also offers high-value perks usually reserved for incubators and a fantastic library of legal templates for hiring, sales, and fundraising, which is a lifesaver for startups without a lawyer. The dashboard keeps all your essential formation documents in one organized place. **What do you dislike about Stripe Atlas?** The biggest limitation is that you can only form a Delaware C-Corp. This isn't a fit for everyone and means you'll have to do additional foreign entity registration if your business operates primarily in another state, adding extra steps and costs. Also, while the perks are great, the list isn't updated as frequently as one might hope, though they have made some recent additions. **What problems is Stripe Atlas solving and how is that benefiting you?** Stripe Atlas solves the critical, initial-stage problems of high cost, legal complexity, and administrative friction that every new startup faces. It effectively democratizes the process of launching a properly structured, venture-ready company. For us, it first solved the problem of legal complexity and cost. Incorporating a company and handling crucial filings like the 83(b) election traditionally requires significant legal fees and expertise. Atlas provided a standardized, guided, and fixed-fee process that saved us thousands of dollars and gave us the confidence that these critical steps were being done correctly without us needing to become legal experts. It also solved the problem of a slow, sequential startup process. Normally, you incorporate, wait for documents, and then apply for a bank account, which kills momentum. The benefit to us was the integration with banking partners like Mercury, which was a massive accelerator. We had a business bank account ready to go in parallel with the incorporation, allowing us to start operating as a legitimate business much faster. Finally, Atlas solved the problem of lacking early-stage resources. As a new startup without a lawyer on retainer, the included library of high-quality legal templates was invaluable. It provided a professional and secure foundation for our initial operations, allowing us to formalize relationships with contractors and customers immediately. It also helps you with your agent if needed. **What do you dislike about Stripe Atlas?** It is a little bit more expensive than other options out there, including making it by yourself. **What problems is Stripe Atlas solving and how is that benefiting you?** When facing the challenge to decide which tool to use to incorporate your new business, Stripe Atlas gives you everything you need (including educational content) to make the right decision. The platforms allows you to incorporate with multiple business types as well as in different states. You just pay the $500 annual cost for the service and you get everything that need for a US company including accounting and invoicing. Our company had an app with we planned to go international but to create a US company if you're not a US resident is a painful process. With stripe atlas we are in the US market since a year and it is working as expected. **What do you dislike about Stripe Atlas?** There is no dislike for us yet. At the start we tought the $500 is a bit high for the service, but if you go alone and pay the accounting and invoicing yourself you end up the same or even higher. **Recommendations to others considering Stripe Atlas:** If you're not a US resident and you need to step into the US market with your application or webshop, you should choose stripe atlas because the laws are so different in the US and you can quickly end up in problems with the laws if you go on your own. **What problems is Stripe Atlas solving and how is that benefiting you?** We solved the problem about how to step into the US market from Europe without anyone in the team being a US resindent. Benefits we realized are company creation, invoicing and accounting all handled by stripe so we can focus on selling. ### 4.
