I really appreciate the flexibility that SQL Server provides to our business. Our company is quite large and SQL Server gives our employees the flexibility to each pull what they need from our data warehouses in a universal way. Meaning that we can hire for SQL skills and decrease the learning curve required for jobs that use this program. We have found that this skill is quite common with new college hires now. As all Microsoft products, SQL Server can sometimes be non-intuitive. New users need to be trained on how to execute commands and complex statements require some research. When traversing different applications within the Microsoft suite of programs that can access SQL Server (think MS SQL Server and MS Visual Studio), the icons will change so you need to learn each program individually. Plus, there are so many capabilities it can be hard for a new user to even figure out where to start without help. It is hard to dislike the program. Frankly, I'm not sure what the alternative to SQL Server would be. Once your business is integrated with SQL Server, it would be extremely difficult to move away from it. SQL Server 2019 is very user friendly to use and you can easlily create multiple database on a single instance and you can make tables, views, stored procedures and make relationships for tables for your project requirements. The best thing is its efficiency management when it comes to inquiries since in a few lines the code can be equivalent to thousands of lines of code, which simplifies with the integration of other languages, which would take much more code.

What I don't like is that many times when you create a very complex code it does not show you even close to the error, other languages give you an approximate where the error is, also sometimes in client versions that are a little older they do not allow you a Easy migration between versions, since for example one worked in 2019, you cannot export the database with tools due to the incomplatibility and you have to do it in alternate ways Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
