SQL Server 2019 Reviews & Product Details

It provides highly secure data transfer from source to destination. We can configure access of users in-depth and up to minute level. It is highly compatible with dot net and windows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes it hangs a lot. Several times it slowed down just because of VPN connection loss. It should throw an error message instead of hanging while running a script. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the folder/directory structure easy to navigate. I also find the formatting part where square brackets get enclosed around names of columns when you hit on "script as" to generate scripts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is no feature of rolling back faulty inserts or deletes. Sometimes, I had no way of retrieving accidentally deleted records. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

-SQL Server 2019 is an expensive product as compared with other databases such as MySQL. Due to its high cost, many companies can afford it. To compete with these databases, Microsoft should consider the pricing factor Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- Comes in several different sizes for differing requirements, Express, Standard, Developer, Enterprise, etc

- Developer edition is a no-cost set up ideal for building your sandbox system for developing

- Uses SSMS as front end or Visual Studio

- Deemed to be still main choice for any company needing a database that works with other standard Microsoft products Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- rumours from seasoned devs there are many bugs, and maybe not a mature product for a mission-critical solution, compared to 2016/2017. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

SQL Server is very faster than other databases as performance wise. We are using SQL Server for desktop applications. The most important feature I like in SQL Server is at the time of deployment on production it does not require large space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Documentation is not as clear as one may expect. You get easily lost between docs for different versions of the database. It is quite expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Microsoft Azure is an effective way to modernize your data warehouse. Businesses use Azure SQL Data Warehouse to create net-new data warehouses in the cloud, extend their existing enterprise data warehouse to the cloud, and/or migrate their on-premises data warehouse to Azure SQL Data Warehouse Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very good datawarehouse cloud based solution Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Might be UI can be little more good, apart from that I found it very useful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In earlier versions of SQL Server, there was no support for big data. SQL-2019 gives us this feature. We can do ETL in a very simple way for MongoDB kinds of databases. I like its UTF feature most as it has saved my life in the current project. I've been using SQL2019 for the last 8 months and I'm loving it. Below are the features I like most. - Multiplatform installation, now we can install it on any OS like Windows, Apache. - UTF support for multiple characters. - Build image testing with Docker and K8S. - Integration with most of the development frameworks. At the moment I didn't find any cons, only the price is expensive for enterprise applications. :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
