They provide end-to-end automation across registration, calculation, and filing for the US and the rest of the world, which we haven’t seen in any other platform. What really stood out for us is that this is the second company where I’ve brought Sphere in: I first implemented it at Revela and liked it enough that rolling it out again at Crisp was an easy decision. April is a tax company, so we know what good looks like in this space. Sphere handles registration, calculation, and filing end to end, which we didn't find anywhere else. The other thing that stands out is how fast their engineering team moves. Integration gaps that stalled us with our previous vendor got resolved quickly here, sometimes within days. Since we build tax software ourselves, we judged them harder than most customers would. The practical benefit is that compliance is off my team's plate entirely. E2E automation across registration, calculation and filing for the US and rest of world – true global coverage we haven't seen in any other platform. What stood out for us: we sit on both sides of Sphere: we integrate with them as a platform and we run our own tax compliance on them. That dual vantage point means we've scrutinised them more closely than most, and their international functionality is in a different league; the local rails and TRAM-powered coverage handle jurisdictions other vendors simply can't reach. We did an extensive analysis of other vendors on the market and chose Sphere for a couple of reasons. 1. They are a future proof solution for when we want to go international (many other vendors just outsource this to third party advisors). 2. Their AI-native tax engine provides granular level tax treatments and monitors for changes in the law (not something we want to get wrong!). 3. But what's really won us over is the support – we lean on the Sphere team a lot, and they've guided us through every tax question across our multi-jurisdictions' obligations with real expertise.
