"Streamlined Legal Practice with Spellbook's Efficient Drafting"
What do you like best about Spellbook?

I use Spellbook for my legal practice and it makes my job a lot easier. I can do it a lot faster, and it provides a good reference to source regulations and statutes. I also appreciate the really good template boilerplate language, which I can include for various provisions and legal documents. It's helpful that the Spellbook system is able to cite to specific regulations, like IRS tax code, and check the legal requirements or the viability of the provisions I'm putting into an agreement or contract. The initial setup was really easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spellbook?

I haven't really had any issues, other than just being able to use it in tools other than Word. It'd be nice to be able to use it, like, in PowerPoint or in PDF, like Adobe Acrobat. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Legal Support a Click Away with Straightforward, Tailored Contract Reviews"
What do you like best about Spellbook?

Having a legal team just a click away is really helpful. Contract reviews are straightforward, and the process can be tailored to the client’s needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spellbook?

There are few things I dislike, mainly because Spellbook has adapted to changes quickly. On top of that, Spellbook continues to receive regular improvements, with useful new features being added over time. For example, the “Summarize Redlines” feature can detect and explain changes made to a document, and the “Compare Documents” feature has also proven to be highly beneficial. "Saves Time, But Needs Language Flexibility"
What do you like best about Spellbook?

I like that Spellbook improves the speed and accuracy of contract review. It saves us time, allowing us to focus on more important things, and it helps us save money by reducing the need for outside counsel. I also appreciate that it can review contracts in foreign languages, even though there's a challenge with the comments being provided in those languages. Plus, the initial setup of Spellbook was very easy for my team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spellbook?

When reviewing contracts in a foreign language, Spellbook often provides comments in that foreign language as well. But the reason we had Spellbook review the contract is because we don't understand that foreign language. So, providing the comments and advice in that foreign language makes no sense. "Seamless Document Drafting with Spellbook"
What do you like best about Spellbook?

I like that Spellbook works seamlessly with open documents, which is probably the biggest benefit for me. I also appreciate that if I ask it to cite authority, it can do so. Additionally, I like that it cross-references and catches statutory citations in documents and checks if they are wrong, flagging issues for me to fix or adjust accordingly. This feature saves me a ton of time and saves my clients a lot of money. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spellbook?

Sometimes I get citations to outdated or replaced laws, especially with statute citations. This makes it a big weakness as it cites old law. Also, in the drafting feature, if I don't provide very, very specific terms, Spellbook can be too literal. I'd prefer it to pull in more context from the edits and language of the draft document. "User-Friendly Legal Assistance with Occasional Lag"
What do you like best about Spellbook?

I like the user-friendliness of Spellbook and the ease with which it drafts emails or contracts for me, regardless of how complex the situation is. I also like the plugin feature that allows me to chat with the document or draft clauses on the spot based on client instructions. Spellbook cuts down on the time I spend trying to formulate the right sentences or source clauses I've used before since they are all in my library. It learns how I draft and function as a solicitor, which makes it even more valuable to me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spellbook?

The Spellbook app sometimes can freeze or take a long time to load. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enhances Legal Document Efficiency, Needs AI Improvements"
What do you like best about Spellbook?

I like that Spellbook is grounded in current law and uses what I would call market clauses. It's great that it increases our team's efficiency and helps us produce documentation and do legal research faster. The platform takes away a lot of the time we would otherwise need to draft agreements. The initial setup of Spellbook was also very easy, which was a nice start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spellbook?

I think sometimes the AI does glitch. It's prone to making mistakes, so you have to be vigilant to ensure that they are caught. I think it could do a better job of proofreading for defined terms and section references. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good for Brainstorming, Bad for Citations (Time-Wasting Rabbit Holes)"
What do you like best about Spellbook?

It's good for brainstorming ideas, and drafting legal documents. It's pretty intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spellbook?

I absolutely hate the inaccurate and problematic legal citations. If there is no real or certain authority, don't presume to insert one to support an argument. It's a time-waster and has led me down several unproductive rabbit holes. I also don't like having to remind it time after time of our punctuation conventions and to keep Bluebook-style citations. I also dislike the file size limitations for uploading reference docs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Exceptional Document Review with Slight Formatting Tweaks"
What do you like best about Spellbook?

I really like the detailed and thoughtful review of documents that Spellbook provides. It addresses many issues that I would miss without it. As a partner, I review many documents produced by my colleagues, and using Spellbook as a second reviewer catches many inconsistencies that I would miss and even flags legal issues for me. Also, the initial setup of Spellbook was really easy and took very little time or effort on our part. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spellbook?

Spellbook could improve the formatting of documents it produces. There is no need to randomly bold text and use different font sizes in legal documents. A more traditional look for the documents is needed. Start by producing all text in Times New Roman 12 pt. font. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential Tool for Contract Review"
What do you like best about Spellbook?

I use Spellbook every day for contract review and proofreading my correspondence. I love the ease of use and its integration into Microsoft Word. It helps me find small cross-referencing errors and weed out unneeded terms in my work. Setting Spellbook up was a breeze, and it worked right from the start without any issues. Using it in tandem with Spellbook Associates boosts my productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spellbook?

I don't have as much luck with the drafting options as I do with the review functions which I use every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Legal Document Review with Room for Improvement"
What do you like best about Spellbook?

I like the review button in Spellbook. It's helpful because I can ask it to format or assist in formatting some documents, which works well even if it could be a little better. Setting up Spellbook was incredibly easy, and it integrates into Microsoft Word. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spellbook?

I think Spellbook could improve on formatting assistance, particularly with everything from sections that need to be underlined versus using bold. Also, using the actual section sign when quoting could be better. It would be helpful if it handled state guidelines better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
