SpeedCV Reviews & Product Details

SpeedCV is an AI-powered CV builder designed specifically for the UK job market. It helps job seekers create professional, ATS-optimised CVs in minutes — no design skills, no guesswork, no faffing about with formatting. The platform guides users through every step of CV creation with an intelligent AI writing assistant. Rather than starting from a blank page, users describe their experience and the AI generates polished, role-specific content for each section. Every suggestion is tailored to UK hiring standards: no photo, personal statement included, and proper British English throughout. Core features include: — AI Writing Assistant: Powered by Claude and GPT-4, the assistant rewrites and improves each CV section based on the target role, industry, and seniority level. It transforms rough notes into professional bullet points with quantified achievements. — ATS Scoring Engine: Every CV is scored against real job descriptions, highlighting missing keywords, weak phrasing, and formatting issues that could cause rejection by Applicant Tracking Systems. Users see their score improve in real time as they make changes. — CV Versioning: Instead of maintaining one generic CV, users create a tailored version for each job application. The AI analyses the job description and suggests specific adjustments to maximise relevance. — 27+ Professional Templates: All templates are ATS-tested and optimised for UK hiring. Available in Modern, Classic, Simple, and Creative styles, with single and double-column layouts. Fourteen templates are free, with premium options available on paid plans. — AI Cover Letter Generation: Based on the CV and a job description, the AI drafts a matching cover letter ready to send. — CV Import: Users can upload an existing PDF or Word CV. The AI parses, restructures, and improves it automatically — saving hours of manual reformatting. — UK Job Board: An integrated job board features 1,600+ live UK vacancies from Reed and Adzuna. Users can search by role, location, salary, and contract type, then tailor their CV to a specific listing in 30 seconds. SpeedCV is built for accessibility. The guiding principle is that anyone — regardless of age, tech confidence, or writing ability — should be able to produce a professional-quality CV without help. The interface is clean, step-by-step, and jargon-free. Pricing is transparent: a free tier with 5 AI actions per day, a 14-day pass at £1.99, and monthly or annual subscriptions. There are no hidden fees, no watermarks on free exports, and users receive a reminder before any renewal. The platform runs entirely in the browser — no software to install, no account required to start. It is hosted on Google Cloud Platform with data encrypted at rest and in transit, fully GDPR-compliant. SpeedCV currently serves the United Kingdom and Switzerland, with expansion planned to France, Germany, and the United States. Each market receives culturally adapted content — not just translated UI, but locally appropriate CV structures, section ordering, and professional conventions. Whether you are a recent graduate writing your first CV, a career changer pivoting industries, or an experienced professional updating your credentials, SpeedCV turns the most tedious part of job hunting into a five-minute task.
