"Intuitive Out of the box capability Yet Highly Flexible—Powerful Automation and Easy Upgrades"
5/5
What do you like best about SmartConnect?

Intuitive to use, but still highly flexible! For advanced users you can almost build bully automated programs with user inputs and even capture error results to made decisions and send notifications to the user base when something is wrong. Also easily upgradeable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SmartConnect?

You lost the multi source data query capability you used to have prior to SC 21. Some errors such as when you have a connection in your list of sql connections when they fail they cause you to not see all connections. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"SmartConnect Balances Ease of Use with Powerful Integration Capabilities"
5/5
What do you like best about SmartConnect?

I’ve been doing integration work for nearly 20 years, and SmartConnect strikes a great balance between ease of use and powerful capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SmartConnect?

I feel it’s missing a few features that would make creating integrations faster. For example, when my Source and Destination field names are the same, having an option to auto-match them would be very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, User-Friendly Integrations with Flexible Task Customization"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SmartConnect?

SmartConnect allows you to integrate between almost any file or data source, to many other data sources, including some legacy ERP software programs like Dynamics GP. The application has a user friendly interface, performs extremely fast for most use cases, and is priced competitively compared to other products available. In addition, one of the best features is the ability to add tasks that run before, after, or during the integration processing. These tasks can truly extend and add flexibility to how the product works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SmartConnect?

The on-premise installed version is similar to the cloud-based version, but there are differences in what the product can do and applications it can connect to. I've primarily used the product with Dynamics GP, so this requires the on-premise installed version of SmartConnect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ideal for Dynamics GP, but Needs Better Log Management"
4/5
What do you like best about SmartConnect?

I like the Native GP Connector in SmartConnect. There's no other Native GP Connector on the market that can be used directly with any data source for integration. It's particularly useful for someone using Dynamics GP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SmartConnect?

SmartConnect Logs are terrible; it is very slow to get older logs, and also searching for logs really takes so much time. There should be something like when a user runs a map manually, I should know who ran it. Also, loading logs takes so much time that it really frustrates our business team to look into the logs. It is not even mentioned as loading when loading logs; it is stuck. Setup isn't that complicated, but marketing about the product seems quite confusing when I look at the webpage vs talking to sales. "SmartConnect: Flexible, Easy-to-Use Integrations Without Heavy Coding"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SmartConnect?

What I like most about SmartConnect is its flexibility, ease of use, and reliable integration between different systems, without requiring extensive coding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SmartConnect?

It can be frustrating when error messages don’t clearly point to the root cause. Also, when you’re managing a large number of integrations, it can become difficult to stay on top of everything because the reporting capabilities aren’t as helpful as they could be. "Versatile Adapters and Secure API Connections for Seamless Integrations"
5/5
What do you like best about SmartConnect?

The various adapters, the ability to build one to connect to APIs as well, and using encrypted DSNs etc. to connect to a variety of data sources and integrate to different destinations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SmartConnect?

One would like the ability to add to existing libraries for an ERP or an ability to add to the library even if on a custom installation basis. For example, document management in Dynamics GP, applying payables documents etc. are all some gaps in the default eConnect library used by the Dynamics GP adapter that could be filled if there is a need for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ross Wendlandt of SmartConnect

Thanks for your feedback Chunangad. I think this blog about applying payables documents will help.

"SmartConnect Saves Hours with Easy Integrations and Reliable Performance"
4/5
What do you like best about SmartConnect?

SmartConnect’s intuitive integration tools make it easy to set up integrations using drag-and-drop mapping across multiple data sources. I especially like the Excel import feature, which lets me run integrations from Excel into SmartConnect; it genuinely saves me hours each week. The integration between Microsoft Dynamics GP, Business Central, and SmartConnect feels seamless in day-to-day use. Beyond Excel imports, the scheduling feature is a lifesaver for setting up automatic weekly data movement with minimal effort. Overall, the subscription pricing seems reasonable for the included functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SmartConnect?

Non-technical users have had a harder time learning and using SmartConnect, particularly for complex integrations, because it requires more technical knowledge of eConnect and Microsoft Dynamics. Troubleshooting errors can be difficult, especially when finding the problem fields or managing failed scheduled tasks. Improper installation and setup can cause performance issues, errors, and configurations that result in high memory consumption or data loss. At times, SmartConnect may sort data in unexpected ways, requiring a manual SQL override. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust GP Connections That Save Our Team Time"
4/5
What do you like best about SmartConnect?

SmartConnect allows robust connections for our organization into GP. This saves our users time by freeing up tedious tasks. Also, the UI is navigation friendly as DevExpress UI is user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SmartConnect?

eOne's support articles are out of date. Screenshots do not reflect current UI. Also, their support requires billable hours right off the bat. Scripting can be 'fun' too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best-in-Class Support, But SmartConnect Needs a More Intuitive Setup"
3.5/5
What do you like best about SmartConnect?

The support team is truly best in class. Their fast response times and genuine willingness to go above and beyond are extremely valuable, and it makes a real difference when I need help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SmartConnect?

The app itself isn’t very intuitive. I tried to create new integrations based on what we already had in place, but I had a hard time finding the right documentation. Since I wasn’t at the company when we onboarded, I never received formal training on SmartConnect, which made it more difficult to get up to speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Feature-Rich and Expanding, Backed by Great Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SmartConnect?

Many options, always expanding. Good support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SmartConnect?

Very few downsides. Once in a while a preview query inserts a TOP (X) clause into my SQL in the wrong place and the preview fails. Could work better with Git; I guess one needs to extract an archive for Git, and the archives are not as useful as I'd Ike unless you bring them back from Git and insert them back into the SmartConnect database. S.akm stuff on the grand scheme Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
