## About Slate
Slate is an AI-powered AEO and SEO platform built to manage the entire content growth loop, from monitoring where your brand appears across AI search engines and Google, to identifying visibility and content gaps, creating and optimizing content to close those gaps, and publishing directly to your CMS. Track, analyze, create, optimize, and publish, all from a single platform. Slate combines AI visibility analytics across platforms like OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Perplexity AI, and AI Overviews with SEO performance tracking powered by Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4. It pairs that intelligence with automated workflows that research, write, and optimize content at scale, grounded in your brand voice, competitive landscape, and internal linking strategy. Content can then be published natively to your CMS. At the center of the platform is Cowork, Slate’s always-on AI marketer. Cowork connects to all your data within Slate, maintains memory across sessions, and executes tasks based on your custom playbooks. It runs continuously on a schedule, assigns the right AI model to each task, and proactively drives execution without requiring constant manual input. Slate is built to solve two major gaps in today’s market. Most AEO and SEO tools stop at analytics. They surface problems, but execution is left to your team. Slate executes. At the same time, many automation platforms that do execute workflows still require someone to configure every process, write every brief, and manage every step. With Cowork, Slate goes beyond workflow automation. The platform can think, plan, and act on your behalf. Available for a free trial!

## Slate Reviews
  ### 1. Excellent tool for AI visibility and SEO workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anand R. | SEO Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Slate?**

I’ve been using Slate for our AEO and GEO work, and it has been really helpful so far. The best part is the AI visibility tracking. It gives a clear view of where our brand is getting mentioned, where citations are coming from, and how we are performing across AI search results.

I also like that we can see the data at both overall level and topic level. This makes it easier to understand which themes we are strong and where we need to improve.

The citations report is very useful too. It helps us see which prompts are showing results from platforms like Reddit, YouTube, and other sources.

Another good thing is the owned vs earned media tracking. It gives us a better idea of where we should focus our content and outreach efforts.

Slate also fits well into our SEO workflow, so we don’t have to keep jumping between too many tools. The suggestions from Google Search Console data are also useful when we are planning content updates.

**What do you dislike about Slate?**

Sometimes there are small errors when running tasks, but the support team has been helpful whenever we raised it.

I also feel some AI search features can still get better over time, but overall Slate has been very useful for our SEO and visibility tracking work.

**What problems is Slate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slate is solving the problem of scattered SEO and AI visibility data by consolidating various essential metrics and insights into one platform.

We can easily track our brand’s presence across various platforms like Reddit and YouTube, making it easier to plan content strategies and identify areas where we’re missing visibility.

Additionally, Slate’s content workflow feature helps manage SEO tasks across multiple clients efficiently, improving team collaboration and reducing manual effort. Overall, Slate helps us improve our SEO processes, increase visibility, and manage tasks more effectively.

  ### 2. Slate Connects AI Search Insights to Execution at Scale

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Siddamallikarjunaswamy S. | SEO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Slate?**

What I like best about Slate is that it goes far beyond traditional SEO tools by actually connecting insights with execution. The AI Visibility Dashboard is especially powerful. It gives a clear view of how our brand appears across AI platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and AI Overviews at a prompt level, not just keywords. Being able to track brand mentions, page citations, competitor presence, share of voice, and even sentiment for real user prompts is a game-changer for understanding how AI systems perceive and surface our content.

Another standout feature is how Slate automatically identifies gaps and suggests relevant search prompts, helping us stay aligned with real user intent. This removes a lot of guesswork and ensures we’re optimizing for what actually matters in AI-driven search.

The workflow automation is equally impressive. With minimal input, we can create end-to-end workflows for content optimization, internal linking, new content creation, and even CRO improvements. The ability to integrate directly with CMS platforms like WordPress or Webflow and publish content seamlessly makes the entire process incredibly efficient.

Overall, Slate stands out because it not only tells you what to improve but also helps you execute it at scale, which is critical in the evolving landscape of AI search.

**What do you dislike about Slate?**

AI Visibility Dashboard provides deep insights at the prompt level, the volume of data can sometimes feel overwhelming. It would be helpful to have more simplified views or guided recommendations for prioritization, especially when managing multiple prompts and campaigns.

The workflow automation, although very strong, still depends heavily on how well the initial prompt or setup is defined. If the input isn’t structured properly, the output may require manual refinement, which adds an extra step.

**What problems is Slate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In short, Slate helps move from reactive SEO to a more proactive and controlled approach to AI visibility, which is becoming critical in today’s search landscape.

  ### 3. Slate Streamlines SEO Automation with Standout AI Visibility Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akilan A A. | Search Engine Optimization Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Slate?**

I’ve been using Slate for the past 3 months, and it has been very useful for automating my day to day SEO tasks. It’s also a strong tool for tracking AI visibility and stands out among other AI tracking tools with its unique page-level suggestions pulled directly from Google Search Console.

It also analyzes brand sentiment and how LLMs talk about your brand when relevant prompts are searched. That said, it does have some limitations in execution and occasionally throws errors, but the support team has been very responsive and helpful, which stands out.

**What do you dislike about Slate?**

It does have some limitations in execution and occasionally throws errors, but the support team has been very responsive and helpful, which stands out.

**What problems is Slate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From doing competitor research to content creating to implement it straight to the CMS directly

  ### 4. Slate Streamlined Our AI Brand Visibility Tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prabhath K. | Growth lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Slate?**

We run growth at Flowcart, which means I’m constantly juggling content production, competitive research, and keeping track of how we show up across AI platforms. Slate handles a chunk of that now. I built a workflow that pulls together brand visibility data from ChatGPT and Perplexity mentions, which used to be a manual, annoying Friday afternoon task. It’s not anymore.
The grid and sheet setup also clicked for me faster than I expected. I’ve tried similar tools where the “workflow builder” is really just a fancy form. Slate’s is different, the logic actually flows between steps and the AI models do what you set them up to do.

**What do you dislike about Slate?**

The native integrations could go further. I end up using Zapier as a bridge more than I’d like. Not a dealbreaker, but I’d rather connect directly to the tools we already use without the extra hop.

**What problems is Slate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Slate, producing content briefs and tracking our AI brand presence were two completely separate workstreams, each needing someone to babysit them. Now they’re both running in the background. That probably saves us four or five hours a week, and more importantly it means nothing falls through when the team’s heads-down on something else. For a lean growth team, that matters a lot.

  ### 5. Automated Content Ops with Customizable Workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Likhith R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Slate?**

I really like that with Slate, I don't have to identify content gaps each time, and the process of writing content briefs separately has become pretty much automated, saving me a lot of time. I appreciate the ease of use, allowing me to generate things at scale and get outputs in a matter of minutes. The workflow builder is fantastic, as it lets me customize according to my needs and select whatever model I want. Slate's customization options have been really helpful, allowing me to stitch things together by reading data from multiple sources. The ready templates are great, but I also love the flexibility to change things based on my specific use case.

**What do you dislike about Slate?**

maybe the learning curve can be shorter. I had to just understand things more in-depth. Before we start making use of it. There are a lot of modules, lot of things to understand.

**What problems is Slate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slate for checking my keyword rankings, finding content gaps, and building a content workflow. It solves my content ops issues and automates identifying gaps and raising briefs, saving me a lot of time.

  ### 6. Slate Closes the Loop Between SEO Strategy and Daily Execution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul P. | Senior Frontend Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Slate?**

For me, the standout feature of Slate is that it actually closes the loop between SEO strategy and daily execution. Most AI platforms just dump a bunch of data or prompts in your lap and leave you to figure out how to implement it across your team. Slate is different because it’s built for actual operations.
Instead of jumping constantly between Google Sheets, a keyword research tool, standalone AI generators, and a CMS, everything flows through one continuous pipeline. I absolutely love how it handles the operational side of things—like managing content refreshes and tracking effort via its credit system. When you are managing multiple client retainers, being able to easily track resource allocation is a lifesaver for protecting agency profit margins.
It feels less like a traditional "SEO tool" and more like a complete operating system for our content team. It prioritizes action over just staring at dashboards.

**What do you dislike about Slate?**

I wouldn't say I have any major complaints, mostly just the minor growing pains you'd expect from a platform that does this much.
A couple of areas for improvement:
• The initial learning curve: Because Slate packs in so much functionality (strategy, generation, workflow management), the interface can feel a bit heavy for a brand-new user. A more interactive walkthrough or a library of plug-and-play templates would help speed up the onboarding process.
• User permissions: As we bring more freelance writers, editors, and client stakeholders into the system, having more granular, role-based access controls is going to become a necessity for us to scale safely.
But honestly, the foundation is incredibly strong, and these are just refinements I expect they'll iron out as the platform matures.

**What problems is Slate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Slate, our biggest headache was managing a "Frankenstein" tech stack. We were bleeding time just managing the handoffs—taking keyword data from one tool, writing briefs in Google Docs, pinging writers in Slack, tracking edits in a spreadsheet, and then completely forgetting to update older posts. It was chaotic, prone to human error, and terrible for our margins.
Slate solves this fragmentation by pulling all of those scattered pieces into a single operating layer. We can now manage the entire lifecycle of a piece of content—from finding the initial opportunity to drafting it, and eventually looping back for a historical refresh—without ever leaving the platform.
The immediate benefits for our agency have been:
• Drastically reduced admin time: We spend less time managing spreadsheets and more time actually executing.
• Better content lifecycle management: The built-in focus on content refreshes means we are actually updating and maximizing the ROI of old posts instead of just publishing them and forgetting them.
• Financial predictability: The workflows and credit system give us a tangible way to measure output against our retainers, making our agency much more profitable.
It has essentially allowed us to stop winging our content operations and start running them like a predictable, scalable machine.

  ### 7. Brand Radar and Workflow Builder That Just Runs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Slate?**

The brand radar feature is what got me in. We needed to know how often our company shows up when people ask ChatGPT or Perplexity about payments fintech, stuff like that. Slate tracks that across multiple LLMs and lays it out in a way that's actually useful, not just a wall of data.

The other thing I didn't expect to care about is the workflow builder. I set up a content refresh workflow that flags our blog posts when they start losing freshness signals, then kicks off an update process. Took maybe 20 minutes to build the first one. And now it just runs. I don't think about it most weeks.

**What do you dislike about Slate?**

The first time I opened the workflow builder I had to poke around for a bit before I understood how steps chain together. It clicked after maybe 15 minutes, but some starter templates for common use cases would've helped.

**What problems is Slate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to check AI search visibility manually, basically copy pasting prompts into different LLMs and logging results in a spreadsheet. That was eating up a few hours every week for one person on my team. Slate replaced that entire process. Now we get scheduled reports on where our brand gets cited and where competitors are showing up instead. The time we got back goes into actually fixing the gaps rather than just finding them.

  ### 8. Slate Turns AI Search Insights into Scalable Content Workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Slate?**

What impressed me most about Slate is how it connects AI search visibility with large-scale content execution. We started using it mainly for the AEO tracker, but quickly realized the workflow engine is equally powerful.

The AEO tracker gives us a clear view of how our brand appears across LLM answers. Compared with tools like Peec, Profound, and Scrunch, Slate provides similar insights on citations, share of voice, and competitor visibility but at a much lower cost. For teams experimenting with AI search optimization, that pricing difference alone makes it attractive.

Where Slate really stands out is the ability to operationalize those insights. Instead of exporting reports and sending them to a content team, we run workflows directly in Slate. For example, we automatically analyze competitor pages, generate briefs, and produce outlines for dozens of keywords in one run.

The Sheets-style execution is also very useful. We can run workflows across hundreds of keywords or URLs, which makes it ideal for large content teams. It feels like building a content engineering pipeline rather than managing SEO tasks manually.

We still rely on Semrush and Ahrefs for some traditional SEO research, but many of the repetitive tasks like analysis, briefs, and content planning now happen in Slate. That has reduced a lot of manual work.

**What do you dislike about Slate?**

Since Slate is still evolving, the ecosystem of integrations is still expanding. Some niche marketing tools we use are not yet directly integrated.

However, the pace at which the product team ships features is impressive. We’ve requested a couple of integrations and improvements, and the team either provided a workaround via workflows or released an update very quickly. Their Slack support channel is extremely active, and we’ve received direct help setting up automations multiple times.

**What problems is Slate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Slate, our SEO workflow was fragmented. We used separate tools for keyword research, AI visibility tracking, content briefs, and production planning.

Slate brings these pieces together into a single operational layer. Now we can track how our brand performs in AI search, identify gaps against competitors, and immediately create execution pipelines to close those gaps.

This has been particularly useful for scaling content programs. Instead of manually creating briefs or analyzing SERPs for every keyword, we can automate most of that work and focus our team on strategy and editing.

  ### 9. Slate Turns AI Search Visibility Insights into Scalable, End-to-End Workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Slate?**

What stands out most about Slate is how effectively it bridges AI search insights with execution at scale. We initially adopted it for tracking AI search visibility, but quickly found the workflow capabilities to be just as impactful.

The AI visibility tracking provides a clear understanding of how our brand shows up across LLM-generated answers. It offers comparable insights to other tools in the space—like citation tracking, share of voice, and competitor benchmarking—but at a much more accessible price point. That makes it especially appealing for teams exploring AI-driven search strategies without committing to high-cost platforms.
Where Slate really differentiates itself is in turning insights into action. Instead of manually exporting data and coordinating with different teams, we can run end-to-end workflows directly within the platform. For instance, we analyze competitor content, generate structured briefs, and build content outlines for multiple keywords in a single workflow.

The spreadsheet-style interface is another highlight. It allows us to scale workflows across a large set of keywords or URLs, making it ideal for teams managing high-volume content pipelines. It feels less like using a traditional SEO tool and more like building a streamlined content production system.
While we still use other tools for specific SEO tasks, a significant portion of our content research, planning, and execution has shifted to Slate, reducing manual effort and improving efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Slate?**

As a growing platform, Slate is still expanding its integration ecosystem. Some of the specialized tools we rely on aren’t yet natively supported, which can require additional setup or workarounds.
That said, the product team is highly responsive and ships updates frequently. In several cases, we’ve seen requested features addressed either through new releases or creative workflow solutions. Their support channels are also very active, and the team has been helpful in guiding us through automation setups when needed.

**What problems is Slate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Slate, our SEO and content workflows were spread across multiple tools, making the process fragmented and time-consuming.

Slate consolidates these functions into a single operational layer. We can now monitor AI search performance, identify gaps relative to competitors, and immediately act on those insights through automated workflows.

This has been particularly valuable for scaling our content efforts. Tasks like SERP analysis, brief creation, and content structuring—previously manual and repetitive—are now largely automated. As a result, our team can spend more time on strategy, quality, and optimization rather than execution-heavy processes.

  ### 10. Slate Is a True Agency-Ready System for Scalable SEO, AEO & Content Ops

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Slate?**

What I like best about Slate is that it actually understands how agencies work in the real world, not how tools think agencies work.

Most AI SEO or content tools stop at insights — keywords, prompts, dashboards, recommendations. Slate goes a level deeper into execution. It’s built around workflows, credits, refreshes, and repeatable systems that map directly to how we manage multiple clients, editors, and deliverables every month.

From an agency account perspective, the biggest win is control at scale. We can plan long-form content, ongoing refreshes, and on-page optimizations from one place, without constantly context-switching between docs, sheets, CMS, and standalone AI tools. The credit model makes effort visible and predictable, which is critical when you’re managing retainers and margins.

I also like that Slate doesn’t position itself as just an “AI search analytics” tool. The analytics are useful, but the real value is how insights flow into actions — content creation, updates, internal linking, and optimization — instead of sitting idle in a dashboard.

In short, Slate feels less like a tool you “check” and more like a system you run your SEO and content ops on. That’s rare.

**What do you dislike about Slate?**

Honestly, there’s nothing I’d call a real dislike at this stage

A few areas that can improve with maturity:

Some workflows still need light hand-holding during the first setup, especially for teams new to AI-driven content ops. A bit more guided onboarding or templates would make the learning curve even smoother.

Because Slate does a lot (analytics, workflows, content, refreshes, agents), it can feel slightly overwhelming on day one. Once you understand the mental model, it clicks but getting there could be faster.

As we scale usage across more clients, deeper role-based controls and permissions will become increasingly important for larger agency teams.

None of these are blockers they’re the kind of refinements you expect as a product moves from early adopters to mass adoption. The core foundation is solid, and the direction is clearly right.

**What problems is Slate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Slate, the biggest problem wasn’t ideas or data it was turning insights into consistent, repeatable output across multiple of our clients. Keyword research lived in one tool, content briefs in docs, updates in sheets, internal linking in another checklist, and AI tools were used ad-hoc with no real system behind them. That fragmentation made scale messy and margin-unfriendly.

Slate brings all of that into a single operating layer. We can go from opportunity discovery → content creation → ongoing refreshes → on-page optimization without breaking context. For us, that means fewer handoffs, less manual coordination, and far better visibility into what work is actually being done for each account.

The biggest benefit has been predictability at scale. The credit-based workflows make effort, cost, and output tangible, which helps us plan retainers, manage team bandwidth, and defend scope with clients. At the same time, the built-in focus on refreshes and updates has improved content longevity — we’re no longer publishing and forgetting.

Net result:
- Faster execution
- Cleaner ops across clients
- Better ROI from existing content
- Healthier agency margins

Slate doesn’t just help us “do SEO better” it helps us run SEO and content like a system, which is what agencies like us actually need.

  ### 11. Slate Is a Game-Changer for Scalable SEO, AEO & Content Workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tazmeen N. | AI SEO Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Slate?**

Slate has an AI bot that can create detailed reports in minutes, which saves a huge amount of time and manual effort.
Its AI analytics provides clear, data-driven insights that help us understand trends and performance more accurately. These insights make it much easier to strategize effectively.

**What do you dislike about Slate?**

Everything has been working smoothly, and the AI reporting and analytics features have been meeting our expectations effectively.

**What problems is Slate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slate solves the problem of manually tracking SEO performance by integrating with Google Search Console and identifying blogs that are experiencing traffic dips.
It provides data-driven content recommendations and can even generate fully optimized new articles.

  ### 12. Slate Clearly Guides My SEO and Keeps Content Fresh Automatically

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Divesh S. | Manager - Product Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Slate?**

Slate told me what I need to do to get my brand into AISO. This is miles better vs what I got with google analytics and other SEO tools who just showed the data to me. I’ve recently started using content refresh feature - which is automatically updating my brands content repository.

**What do you dislike about Slate?**

Ive started using Slate from the last few weeks. Not many negatives at the moment. Main feedback: I need more control over the generated content.

**What problems is Slate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Understand where my brand stands in AI search
- Helping me know exactly what I need to do to fix the gaps
- Refreshing old content automatically

  ### 13. Great for AI search analytics and content automations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sudha S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Slate?**

I like that Slate helps act on data, not just show it, with AI analytics that work with workflows to automate content optimization. It's helpful when managing multiple pages or clients. I also find switching to Slate from Airops and other fragmented tools easy and simpler for consolidating SEO and content.

**What do you dislike about Slate?**

AI search is still evolving, so prompt tracking and visibility insights can change as models update.

**What problems is Slate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slate solves AI visibility issues, providing insights against competitors, and facilitates bulk content operations. It automates content optimization with AI analytics, which is useful for managing multiple pages or clients.

  ### 14. Straightforward “building blocks” for CMS publishing and SEO research in Slate AI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sudharshan N. | Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Slate?**

Don't need way too much hand holding to build the workflows, self-serve setup actually.

**What do you dislike about Slate?**

Custom workflows are great, but it'd be great to have some stock / template workflows that we can build on top of.

**What problems is Slate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Programmatic SEO & content refreshes - we've been able to automate these two areas with Slate. We no longer need an army of writers for programmatic SEO, we're able to easily scale content based on the content strategy we've built (that too within Slate!!).
