Semantic UI is not as popular like other UI frameworks so the Community support is limited if you stuck. Learning semantic UI might be a problem for beginners as well.

**What problems is Semantic UI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Web development, Front end development

  ### 6. Challenging but Rewardning

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lasal J. | Student Ambassador for AI and Data Science, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Semantic UI?**

I love the fact that the developer can handpick components and easily customize them to their needs. I find this as a huge plus point of Semantic UI over other popular alternatives.

**What do you dislike about Semantic UI?**

Semantic UI is not beginner-friendly. It was hard for me to initially begin developing web apps incorporating semantic UI.

**Recommendations to others considering Semantic UI:**

If you want to develop a large scale web application, I would recommend using it. I would also recommend you highly use it when developing browser-friendly web apps in particular.

**What problems is Semantic UI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, sematic UI speeds up my development time, especially when I design mobile-friendly web apps. For me, the developer experience was great with this framework as I found it easier to make my designs come alive.

  ### 7. Experience Designer

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jermaine R. | UX Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Semantic UI?**

The UI has prebuilt designs that I can quickly leverage in my page designs. My team and I leverage the UI kit as the base to build our digital brand guidelines. Styles that we mostly leverage are tables, button styles, and card designs. I leverage the UI Doc to understand how code snippets are implemented and how I use the predefined features that the UI offers.

**What do you dislike about Semantic UI?**

The column grid system is difficult the manipulate as part of the Sitecore framework. I find that selection and predefined code snippets are difficult to implement. It's sometimes difficult to use the UI doc reference to troubleshoot and correct design issues.

**What problems is Semantic UI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Symantec UI as the backbone of our digital platform - I leverage the grid system to make my design responsive and built on with the best web standards. Symantec UI is the framework that Sitecore uses to build our website pages.

  ### 8. Semantic UI is easy to implement and has a lot of great options for customization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike C. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Semantic UI?**

I love that there are so many elements to choose from, and each one has many different options for customization. I like how easy it is to implement and reuse from project to project. There are a lot of integration options, and the ability to theme custom variables is very useful to avoid having to redefine all of my styles in a project. I also think the documentation is pretty thorough, and I usually can find answers to what I'm looking for pretty easily. It also seems there is new content being added all the time. I like being able to add functionality that "just works" without having to worry about too many moving parts.

**What do you dislike about Semantic UI?**

There's honestly not a ton that I can think of that I don't like. On a few occasions, I would have liked to see more documentation or been able to find better support on forums, but it wasn't a huge issue. It currently seems that the forums.semantic-ui.com page is down.

**Recommendations to others considering Semantic UI:**

Make sure to read as much of the documentation as possible before you begin implementing it on a large project.

**What problems is Semantic UI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've used semantic UI in some React projects for work. Other times I use it when I need something quick that will work when I'm building a project for education or fun. I've realized that it can help take care of a lot of secondary functionality so that I can focus on more difficult parts of a project. It's usually easy to implement and always looks professional.

  ### 9. Decent set of basic UI components

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen L. | Front End Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Semantic UI?**

It's easy to get a basic UI up and running quickly with Semantic and there are component packages available for most widely used frontend libraries. The default styles and behaviors are sensible and appealing without being distracting. Personally, I like to do prototyping with Semantic or similar libraries and then swap in custom components or modify the base styles as it becomes necessary. This ability to progressively customize the theme and appearance of your components, while starting from a solid base, is powerful (although not unique to Semantic).

**What do you dislike about Semantic UI?**

I wouldn't use Semantic for building layouts. There's not really a need for the kinds of layout components it provides once you have a decent understanding of CSS grid and flexbox, in my opinion. There's also the common problem with component libraries that if you use a single one for numerous sites, they all end up looking quite similar, even if you make some custom modifications. Finally, I think the

**Recommendations to others considering Semantic UI:**

I would consider using Semantic for personal projects, prototyping, and internal tools. If you're looking for something on which to base a larger project that will need to evolve considerably over time, requires numerous custom components with complex behaviors, you're probably not going to save much time by starting out with Semantic.

**What problems is Semantic UI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I typically use Semantic UI or similar tools for quick prototyping. In the past I've also made use of it for constructing internal tooling for companies I've worked at, where having a clean, consistent and easy to use set of components and styles removes a big hurdle from development and allows you to focus on the more important functionality needed.

  ### 10. Framework with minimalist design, easy to use and well documented

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ANKIT V. | FrontEnd React Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Semantic UI?**

Semantic UI is beautifully designed and easy to use framework with very helpful code examples. It's easy and ready to start ui helps save time.

**What do you dislike about Semantic UI?**

Semantic is less flexible which makes adding custom css difficult. Important components like slider, Carousel, responsive nav bar or burger nav, table ui with actions and details panel are not included in the framework , I would love to see these get included in the new update along with more animations, responsive components and customisation options.

**Recommendations to others considering Semantic UI:**

Highly recommended

**What problems is Semantic UI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semantic is loaded with very useful components like Image, Cards, Feed and much more with customisation which makes development easy.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kiran C. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Semantic UI?**

Semantic's Approach to clean CSS is why I prefer using Semantic-UI. Clean and Concise classes make it so much easy to use and understand the framework. The stock components like the dropdown are complete when you install Semantic-UI, unlike other frameworks where you have to either add JavaScript to enable the component or write the whole component from scratch.

The best part about Semantic-UI is that it is still Open Source, not backed by a Fortune Company and is still unadulterated.

**What do you dislike about Semantic UI?**

Setting up new projects can be a task with Semantic, whereas setting up with other Frameworks is practically negligible.

**What problems is Semantic UI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using Semantic to mainly to create websites or Web Apps for our clients.

  ### 21. Best and Intuitive tool-set to create beautiful and responsive web UI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharique K. | Team Lead - DevOps | Cloud | SRE - Cloud Native Productline, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Semantic UI?**

It's an easy to use solution to solve the often difficult problem to create responsive UI to support various form factors.

Moreover, it has easy integration with React, Angular or Meteor making life easy for frontend developers

Its support for the most common HTML elements is a winning feature as well as more advanced controls like GRIDS and tables. The support for composite components like accordion, dimmer, modal dialogue box also make it easy to create more feature rich user interfaces

Its support for other technologies of the frontend ecosystem is also commendable like server-side rendering, integration with gulp, npm or grunt.

**What do you dislike about Semantic UI?**

Themeing feature is a strength as well as a weakness for this software. At times it becomes difficult to use due to javascript issues and integration with advanced features of LESS framework.

**Recommendations to others considering Semantic UI:**

You should check the integration with your LESS or SASS CSS library

**What problems is Semantic UI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Productivity is the main challenge we are trying to solve so as to quickly create UI for multiple form factors. It also takes away a lot of grunt work in creating UI which work across browsers and devices and lets front-end developers to focus on business functionality.

This has also enabled us to collaborate much better with designers

  ### 22. Semantic UI is a modern development framework

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pablo R. | Desarrollador de software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Semantic UI?**

What I like most about Semantic UI is that it is very easy to understand since it uses semantic classes. Another feature that I like very much is that its documentation is clear and precise, in addition to being updated to the most recent version.

**What do you dislike about Semantic UI?**

For my part I am not a fan of programming in Javascript, but to enter the semantic interface you must have knowledge of this language to be able to exploit all its features.

**Recommendations to others considering Semantic UI:**

Of course I recommend the use of Semantic UI, as it will help facilitate the development of your web designs.

**What problems is Semantic UI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semantic has allowed us to create HTML designs that have served our website.

  ### 23. Semantic UI, the framework for web development of your platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miguel D. | Analista de Negocios TI, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Semantic UI?**

Semantic UI is a well-worked platform, with good bookstores. I like that you have a great documentation online and a user community that responds frequently to inquiries. It has several types of screens and components to easily start projects. In addition, it is very easy to apply CSS libraries to improve your templates.

**What do you dislike about Semantic UI?**

This type of framework is being used by many people right now, so their templates are already very repetitive and may have inconveniences in terms of plagiarism by any identical button. It is also a bit difficult to add functions.

**Recommendations to others considering Semantic UI:**

Semantic UI has a great documentation, tutorials and online guides for the development of its website. I recommend that you give this framework a chance that it has a good concept, good design and a well-developed code.

**What problems is Semantic UI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously we used Bootstrap but we saw their templates everywhere, so the implementation of Semantic UI was something similar and gave us several implementation and development functions, especially for JavaScript and CSS, where we are not so good at designing. Among other benefits, we have managed to save valuable time in creating a template from scratch.

  ### 24. Best Collection of designs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dileep S. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

it have a very good documentation to identify how to implement and use each objects in it

**What do you dislike about Semantic UI?**

no much dislikes sometimes its slower in converting our html enity to there design since slow internet access is detected

**What problems is Semantic UI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

custom designs that do a particular task such as multiple select in very good design

  ### 25. Semantic UI is a highly customizable alternative to bootstrap.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** abdul K. | Web Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Semantic UI?**

Semantic UI has very beautiful designs that are easy to integrate into you html with simple class names that are easy to remember. Semantic UI also offers you a degree of uniqueness because most sites on the web already use bootstrap

**What do you dislike about Semantic UI?**

Semantic UI has a limited number of classes you can incorporate into your html and requires decent knowledge of javascript and jquery to use some of the advanced features.

**What problems is Semantic UI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semantic UI offers a uniqueness while still offering beautiful modern designs for your html user interface

  ### 26. A great option

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Semantic UI?**

Semantic ui has some lovely built-in components that lets you to more stuff in a short time.
The whole Semantic-UI package is well organized, with every component neatly set up with it's own stylesheet and JavaScript file.
The documentation is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Semantic UI?**

The React component set has quirks, but if any of them are really troublesome, dropping down to "raw" Semantic isn't really a problem. Definitely having loads more fun and getting more done, faster, with Semantic.

**Recommendations to others considering Semantic UI:**

I highly recommend using Semantic UI over other FRAMEWORKS. It’ll boost your development speed and makes frontend development much more easier.

**What problems is Semantic UI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are currently migrating over from Material, and Semantic UI feels much more lightweight (no inline styles, declarative syntax), and is very nice to use.

  ### 27. Great customer experience
