It is probably the number one tool on the market right now to use for energy analysis. It is relatively straightforward once you get the hang of it, and it allows you to perform whole-building studies of light, energy, water, and carbon uses of your design. **What do you dislike about Sefaira?** Sefaira is not cheap, and it requires a SketchUp license to use. Even if you plan to use Sefaira with Revit, you are still required to purchase both SketchUp and Sefaira (as a bundle) to use the plugin for a completely separate program. Having to purchase both is frustrating because most companies no longer use SketchUp, but it forces you to pay for it anyway. It is subscription-based, so you are paying an annual fee to continue using the software and paying for an extra one you will likely never use. They only within the past 5 years have added capabilities to use with Revit, but it is not a standalone plugin in and of itself. Although this plugin works fine for Revit, in order to use the plugin you need to have a license which can only be received by purchasing SketchUp. **Recommendations to others considering Sefaira:** Like I said if you are looking for programs to analyze your BIM models for green-building design (or to achieve specific certifications for such things), this program is essential. It will provide you with graphs and data that can be shared with the client and with the certification firms that show how your building will perform with a high degree of accuracy. It can elevate how you present your building design to clients to a whole other level, showcasing that you have done extra steps to design something that is both energy efficient and beautiful. **What problems is Sefaira solving and how is that benefiting you?** If you are looking for green-building analysis tools, this software is essential. Although it has a little bit of a learning curve, once you get the hang of it, it is easy to use and plugin to any of your BIM models. You can use it on models you have previously created to analyze passive/active strategies for cooling, daylighting, shading, and energy use. It connects right into Revit, which is great. You can work right in your existing model to perform different studies and output detailed graphs and charts showing the results of the analysis. ### 2. The iPad version is still in beta but works pretty smoothly. The photo match and photo editing software are really good. The layout pattern worked pretty well when I used it before. Also, non-users were able to view sketches up. **What do you dislike about Sefaira?** I think the price is a little bit high. Not all users can afford to use it. THey need to improve the resources for trainers. Sketch-up free doesn't have enough free offers to do any trial before you buy the product. Usually, Trimble has a lot of login issues. Sometimes when I try to log in where it shows me that the trial is over or there would be other technical issues as always. Also, the color contrast it's not right. **Recommendations to others considering Sefaira:** Yes, i recommend others to consider using this software. I recommend this software because it is really helpful to visualize project in 3D, ability to draw 2D or 3D structure that i would like to create. It also allows users to share one project among other team members. It supports numbers of file format when you need your file to import. Furthermore, the annotation and document storage feature is helpful and user-friendly across the board. **What problems is Sefaira solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am mainly using for to create a 3D warehouse. I am also using it for Trimble connect It gives me a good layout of different locations and helps to create scan essentials for different setup viewers. It helps to create 3D printing for multiple setup instruments. ### 3. The software is straightforward to use for someone that has no experience. Great tool to understand passive solutions for building performances. It makes the firm look professional and on top of the environmental issues, buildings have. It can help prevent the ecological problems we have in facilities nowadays. **What do you dislike about Sefaira?** I wish there were more explanations for some of the features in the software. When performing the tasks multiple times the softares takes a long time to perform the test runs. I wish there was a quick and easy test run before getting the final outcome. I wish the product was more affordable. **Recommendations to others considering Sefaira:** Safaira is a great tool that every architect should have. It helps to create better buildings and back up the information for clients. The software is straightforward to use for someone that has no experience. It makes the firm look professional and on top of the environmental issues, buildings have. It can help prevent the ecological problems we have in facilities nowadays. The interface is simple and easy to understand, and with little knowledge, you can create very in-depth data for your project. **What problems is Sefaira solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps to create better buildings and back up the information for clients. Since it performs whole-building physics-based analysis of water, carbon and renewable energy I can create solar studies and dynamic studies to present to the client based on the buildings designed. Great tool to analize passive and active strategies to optimize the building performance. ### 4.
