Once they are set up, I do not need to remember every material, labor item, or piece of equipment each time I prepare a bid. Before ScopeTakeoff, I used a combination of PDF measurements, Excel, and old estimates. The process worked, but it was easy to miss a calculation or use outdated pricing it gives me a clearer process for measuring the plans, calculating the cost, and preparing the proposal. ### 2. We can build an assembly for a footing, slab, or concrete wall and include concrete, reinforcing, forms, labor, equipment, and waste. When a quantity changes, the associated costs update with it. This makes revisions easier and gives us a clearer breakdown of the estimate. **What do you dislike about ScopeTakeoff?** Setting up our assemblies and production rates required some work at the beginning. I would also like more flexibility when customizing proposal layouts and internal reports. **What problems is ScopeTakeoff solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use ScopeTakeoff for commercial concrete projects, including slabs, foundations, footings, walls, and site concrete. Before switching, we completed the takeoff in one program and transferred the quantities into Excel for pricing. The system allows us to include material quantities, labor, waste, and production rates in each assembly. It is also helpful when a project has alternates or when the general contractor asks us to separate the drywall and painting prices. **What do you dislike about ScopeTakeoff?** Some complicated wall types still require additional review and manual adjustments.
