The assistant! It feels like having your own personal research helper, always aiming to answer your questions as logically as possible and backing them up with references. It's an excellent starting point for any project, useful for studying - I recommend using it instead of any other AI tool to my students- , and perfect for quickly answering any 'what if' questions that come to mind while you're doing research. The assistant is so good that I tend to forget scite can do much more than that. It is probably the most used AI tool in our lab. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When tasked with providing a quick literature review in table form to identify research gaps, it tends to include any study that could be loosely extrapolated to answer the question, rather than focusing on directly relevant sources. Often, if there is little supporting reference for the question, it responds with answers that cover all possibly related topics, rather than addressing the specific points I was seeking, which feels redundant. Additionally, when I request an answer limited strictly to the specific question, it usually returns a generic response without any references, instead of simply stating that it could not find relevant information.
