I really like the friendly, knowledgeable support on this SLM product. Foundant has provided a forum to collect ideas from those of us working in the field and then their software developers implement the most popularly requested functions as well as developing improvements on their own. **What do you dislike about Scholarship Lifecycle Manager?** The one thing I don't like is that it allows applicants to submit more than once to the same opportunity - but it will alert the applicant that this is what they are doing: You have an existing application - would you like to update? **What problems is Scholarship Lifecycle Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?** Wrangling many hundreds of applicants applying for about a hundred different scholarship opportunities. ### 2. From a staff perspective, the automated emails are such a time saver, and the reporting capabilities are very robust. I love the universal application, which makes it easy for our students to know which of our scholarships are they are qualified for. And for our renewable scholarships, the automated follow-up forms make collecting required renewal information a breeze. It eliminates much of the back and forth emailing I did with students when we were using a different online platform. **What do you dislike about Scholarship Lifecycle Manager?** It would be even better if a texting platform could somehow be integrated because many of our students do not use email. **What problems is Scholarship Lifecycle Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?** The automated features for communicating with students are such a timesaver. SLM allows me to easily run summary reports to provide wto selection committees, which makes their decision-making process better. Managing renewable scholarships is so much easier with automated follow-up forms that students complete with the required transcripts and proof of enrollment. ### 3. They encourage me to reach out to them to find ways to streamline our processes even more. I also love that they listen to feedback and are actively working on making improvements that will serve their customers in the most efficient way. **What do you dislike about Scholarship Lifecycle Manager?** Sometimes certain functions require unique work-around that are a little "clunky" but it seems that they are always trying to improve those processes. **What problems is Scholarship Lifecycle Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having all data in one place in an easy to view manner. I find the site easy to use and I know our applicants and evaluators do as well. ### 5. Charts and cross tabs can't be exported or printed **What problems is Scholarship Lifecycle Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?** Application tracking from start to finish, audit records connected to the accounting system. Evaluation online with auto scoring. Custom award letters with merge. Draft to complete tracking for deadlines ### 6. The follow up process is much easier to track students and for students to receive my contact information. **What do you dislike about Scholarship Lifecycle Manager?** It is hard for scholarships that have managers to help without adding them as Administrators. **What problems is Scholarship Lifecycle Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows us to have more direct contact with students. ### 7. Each agent has been patient every time we have reached out. **What do you dislike about Scholarship Lifecycle Manager?** The self-paced on-line training seemed a bit off. It seems some times there were exercises to be completed but the "how to" had not yet been reviewed. **What problems is Scholarship Lifecycle Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have had a change in staff recently so our new hire is still working to realize benefits we may not be using.
