It borrows and allows procedures from other languages like SQL which makes it easier to work with. It runs faster than many other programs like R and STATA. The ETS and other packages are great for carrying out specific task like ETS time series modelling. **What do you dislike about SAS/ETS?** The survey procedure is not adequate. They could adapt a lot from stata. Where performing final analysis is much easier than SAS. Another big problem with this program is that it does not allow user written procedures or packages which other programs like R or STATA do. The only work around is use of macros which are not as easy and intuitive as the user written procedures. **Recommendations to others considering SAS/ETS:** It is a great soft ware to manipulate your data, especially for working with large datasets or claims data which requires a lot of transformation and retransformation. In all it works great for most of your data analytic needs it does not how ever allow user written procedures. **What problems is SAS/ETS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mainly academic work related to analysis of health care related large databases.
