"The data management platform is lack completeness across the entire platform"
3/5
What do you like best about SAS Data Management?

The underlying SAS language continues to be the strongest selling point for SAS Data Management. It's ability to transform and manipulate data still presents a compelling offering. Additionally legacy SAS code is more or less guaranteed to run without too much manipulation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAS Data Management?

1. Lack of enterprise scheduling capabilities. I do not understand how SAS Data Management addresses the operation issues of deployment such as scheduling. Is SAS providing homegrown capabilities or will scheduling be more of an integration play, say with other technologies like Apache Airflow.

2. How can flow be easily promoted from environment to environment.

3. How can existing SAS 9 flows be easily realized in SAS Data Management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SAS Data Management?

The thing I like about this tool is its simplicity. Being user friendly, it requires little to no knowledge of high-end coding, making it accessible for everyone. It efficiently manages large volumes of data with high accuracy. The third thing I really liked about it is the efficient customer support system, who always assist in case of any issues. The biggest issue this software faces is its high cost demand on resources. The price of the software is high which makes it inaccessible for all users. Further, it slows down the system while handling large and complex datasets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Accessing Preparing and Analysing the DATA"
4/5
What do you like best about SAS Data Management?

As in SAS DATA preparation there are three components: SAS Data Explorer, SAS Studio, SAS Lineage. My favorite is SAS Studio; it's mostly useful for cleaning and transforming data, which can be done without complex coding. It has different transformations that are very useful for analyzing and preparing data, joining the data without using SQL or any SAS code. SAS Explorer helps to import local data or connect directly to databases like PgAdmin or other data sources. One can also import local files and access social media data like Google, YouTube, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAS Data Management?

To access the data from CAS, one needs to provide the CAS session to assign all the CAS libraries before accessing. However, this is an easy task; just if someone is not aware, they need to know this beforehand, or else it is easy to use by someone with less knowledge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"secure & regulatory compliant tool"
2.5/5
What do you like best about SAS Data Management?

SAS Data Quality provides robust tools for cleaning and standardizing data, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Most significantly, the SAS Data Flux Studio in version 9.4 and Data Preparation in SAS Viya offer versatile options for managing the quality of unified data, which is crucial in this modern AI world where decisions are based on data point interpretation. The platform often provides an intuitive and user-friendly interface, making it accessible for data professionals with varying levels of technical expertise. It can be developed in such a way that implementation is easy and can be integrated into daily tasks of cleaning incoming data. SAS has a good technical support team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAS Data Management?

SAS software, including SAS Data Quality, can be relatively expensive, and this may be a consideration for smaller businesses or organizations with budget constraints. When a new user is looking to learn the tool, there is not a wide variety of support community to learn from. Users might face challenges in integrating SAS Data Quality with other systems. Running complex data quality processes on large datasets may require substantial computing resources, potentially posing challenges for organizations with limited hardware capabilities.
