  ### 1. Centralized Risk, Compliance, and Audit with Strong Real-Time Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalie H. | Senior Sales Support Specialist, Industrial Automation, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

The most helpful aspect of SAP Risk and Assurance Management is its ability to centralize risk, compliance, and audit activities into a single platform. It improves visibility across processes, enables better monitoring of controls, and helps organizations identify and mitigate risks proactively. The biggest upsides are improved governance, streamlined compliance reporting, automation of manual assurance tasks, stronger collaboration between teams, and better decision-making through real-time insights and analytics.

**What do you dislike about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

The least helpful aspect of SAP Risk and Assurance Management is its complexity. Implementation, customization, and user adoption can take significant time and resources, and some reporting or workflow features may not be as intuitive without additional configuration or training.

**What problems is SAP Risk and Assurance Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Risk and Assurance Management helps solve challenges related to risk visibility, compliance tracking, audit coordination, and control monitoring across the organization. It centralizes these activities into one system, reducing manual processes and improving consistency. The platform benefits us by increasing transparency into risks and controls, streamlining reporting and audit preparation, improving collaboration between teams, and helping ensure compliance requirements are met more efficiently. It also supports faster decision-making through better access to real-time risk and assurance data.

  ### 2. Centralized Risk, Compliance, and Audit Management with Real Time Visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abel Melaku T. | Associate Card Banking Officer , Banking, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

The most helpful aspect of SAP Risk and Assurance Management is how seamlessly it brings risk monitoring, compliance, and audit activities together in one centralized system. By consolidating these critical functions, the platform reduces the need for multiple disconnected tools and helps ensure that all stakeholders are working from consistent, reliable information. Its control automation is especially valuable because it cuts down on manual effort, reduces the chance of human error, and frees teams to focus on higher level strategic work instead of repetitive compliance checks. The dashboards also provide real time visibility into risks, compliance status, and audit findings, enabling management to make faster, better informed decisions. This transparency not only improves efficiency, but also strengthens accountability across the organization. In addition, the system’s ability to align with regulatory requirements helps keep compliance standards consistently met, lowering exposure to penalties and reputational risk. Overall, it supports a proactive approach to risk management while enhancing operational resilience.

**What do you dislike about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

One of the least helpful aspects of SAP Risk and Assurance Management is the overall complexity of the system, especially for new users. The interface can feel overwhelming, and the steep learning curve often requires additional training or external support before teams can use it effectively. Configuring compliance workflows and customizing dashboards can be time-consuming, and in many cases, organizations need specialized expertise to fully leverage the platform’s capabilities. This slows down adoption and makes it harder for smaller teams without dedicated IT resources to benefit from the system. Another downside is performance when handling very large datasets or running detailed audit reports, as the system can sometimes lag or take longer than expected to generate results. This impacts efficiency during critical compliance checks or audits. While the platform is powerful, the complexity and resource requirements can limit accessibility, making it less user friendly compared to simpler, more lightweight risk management tools

**What problems is SAP Risk and Assurance Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Risk and Assurance Management is helping us address several critical business problems by providing a structured and centralized approach to risk and compliance. One of the biggest challenges we faced was fragmented risk monitoring across different departments, which often led to inconsistent reporting and delayed responses. By consolidating these processes into a single platform, SAP ensures that risks are identified early and tracked consistently. Another problem it solves is the heavy reliance on manual compliance checks, which were time consuming and prone to human error. The automation of controls has significantly reduced this burden, freeing up resources for more strategic tasks. Audit preparation, which used to take weeks, is now streamlined through real time dashboards and reporting tools, making the process faster and more transparent. Overall, the system improves efficiency, enhances accountability, and ensures that regulatory requirements are met without unnecessary delays. This has strengthened our organization’s resilience and reduced exposure to compliance risks.

  ### 3. Centralized Risk, Controls, and Assurance with Helpful SAP Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hamid C. | Researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

What I like best is that SAP Risk and Assurance Management keeps risks, controls, and assurance work in one place. It makes follow-up easier and gives better visibility for audits and reporting. The SAP integration is also helpful because it connects risk work more closely to business processes.

**What do you dislike about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

The main thing I dislike is that the system can feel complex at the beginning. Some setup and configuration take time, and the navigation is not always very intuitive. Reporting is useful, but customizing reports could be easier.

**What problems is SAP Risk and Assurance Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Risk and Assurance Management helps us keep our risk, control, and assurance activities in one place, rather than managing them through scattered files and emails. It’s easier to track issues, follow up on action items, and stay organized when preparing for audits. The biggest benefit for us is improved visibility and more consistent reporting, which saves time and lowers the chance of missing important risk items.

  ### 4. Powerful Risk Management, Challenging Setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Izzat M. | Technician, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

I like how SAP Risk and Assurance Management strengthens internal controls, automates compliance monitoring, and improves risk visibility across business processes. The system is great at centralizing risk documentation, control testing, issue remediation, and audit tracking all in one place. I also appreciate the seamless integration with SAP environments, especially with SAP S/4HANA, which allows for real-time monitoring of business processes and quicker identification of control issues or exceptions. The dashboards and reporting features make it easier for management and audit teams to track compliance status and remediation activities efficiently. The continuous controls monitoring is invaluable, helping to identify exceptions and potential compliance issues in real time, eliminating the need for periodic manual reviews and allowing teams to react faster to risk. Automated control monitoring has significantly improved our workflow by reducing the need for manual testing and repetitive review work, as the system continuously monitors transactions and activities in real time instead of relying on spreadsheets and manual sampling.

**What do you dislike about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

One challenge is the complexity of the initial setup and configuration. Implementing workflows, controls, and monitoring rules can require significant time, technical expertise, and coordination between business and IT teams. For organizations with complex processes, the implementation and customization effort can feel resource-intensive.

**What problems is SAP Risk and Assurance Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Risk and Assurance Management to strengthen internal controls, automate compliance monitoring, and improve risk visibility. It centralizes risk documentation and audits, integrates with SAP S/4HANA for real-time monitoring, and reduces manual tasks, enhancing efficiency and faster risk response.

  ### 5. Centralized Risk Management with Efficient Workflow

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sobit T. | ISO, Computer & Network Security, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

I like its ability to help identify and monitor all the risk and then centralize it to place proper controls, gaps mitigations, and compliance checkups in one place. The automated workflow and dashboards also help in proper reporting and save time. The workflow and reporting functions are much beneficial for coordinating with various team members and assigning accountability during compliance review and audit trails. I appreciate how it helps solve various organizational issues like risk tracing, audit, and compliance management. It centralizes the risk information, manages and monitors applied controls, identifies and mitigates gaps. Additionally, it reduces manual work and helps make better decisions. The vendor provided proper support during implementation time.

**What do you dislike about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

In my opinion the new user may feel little difficult to use the system. While working with large data the system gets slow so maybe making simple interface and able to work with large may be the side they can improve.

**What problems is SAP Risk and Assurance Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Risk and Assurance Management centralizes risk information, helps trace risk, manage audits, and compliance, and reduces manual work. It enhances decision-making, optimizes risk handling, and improves coordination and accountability through its workflow and reporting features.

  ### 6. Efficient Data Management, Needs Stronger Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omosalewa A. | Legal Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

I love that I can always refer to the data when there's a need. It gives me leverage to cross-check my work and check customer's information, ensuring it is stored and saved properly. If I intend to share it, it's easier to share and also facilitates team collaboration. SAP Risk and Assurance Management helps me mitigate the risk of a data breach, which is crucial given GDPR compliance requirements. The initial setup was quite easy and user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

I'd say the collaboration aspect of it would be more focused. The ability to collaborate with team members and the AI tool to search information easily could be improved. It often feels like you're waiting for the system to keep rolling.

**What problems is SAP Risk and Assurance Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Risk and Assurance Management for storing, analyzing, and keeping records. It helps me mitigate the risk of data breaches and comply with GDPR, allowing me to cross-check work and collaborate with my team easily.

  ### 7. “Useful for Compliance Monitoring and Process Visibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sambhav B. | Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

SAP Risk and Assurance Management has been helpful for improving how we handle risk, compliance, and internal control activities across teams. One of the biggest advantages is its integration with other SAP systems, which makes data flow and monitoring much smoother compared to using separate tools.

From a UI perspective, the platform is functional and detailed, although it can feel a bit complex initially for new users. After some onboarding and regular use, the navigation becomes easier to understand. The reporting and dashboard features are especially useful for audits and management reviews.

In terms of performance, the system has been reliable for day-to-day monitoring and workflow management. Automated alerts and control tracking helped reduce manual follow-ups and improved visibility into pending issues.

The onboarding process required proper planning and some training, but SAP support documentation and implementation guidance were useful during setup. Support response quality was generally good whenever technical issues came up.

From a pricing and ROI standpoint, it may feel expensive at first, especially for smaller companies, but for organizations already using SAP, the long-term value is noticeable because it reduces manual effort and improves compliance tracking.

I also liked the automation and intelligent monitoring capabilities, since they help identify exceptions and control gaps faster than traditional manual reviews.

**What do you dislike about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

One thing I disliked about SAP Risk and Assurance Management is that the interface can feel complicated for first-time users, especially for teams that are not already familiar with SAP products. Some workflows and configurations take time to understand, so proper training is important.

The implementation process can also be lengthy and requires coordination between business and technical teams. In some cases, customizing reports or workflows was more time-consuming than expected.

Another drawback is the pricing, which may be difficult to justify for smaller organizations. While the platform offers strong features, the overall setup and maintenance effort can feel heavy if the company only needs basic risk and compliance management.

**What problems is SAP Risk and Assurance Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Risk and Assurance Management helped us solve the problem of handling risk and compliance activities across different teams and spreadsheets. Earlier, tracking controls, approvals, and audit-related tasks was mostly manual, which often caused delays and made follow-ups difficult.

After using the platform, it became easier to monitor controls, track open issues, and keep everything in one place. The automated workflows and alerts reduced a lot of manual work for the team and improved visibility during audits and reviews.

It also helped management get clearer reporting on risks and pending actions, which made decision-making faster and more organized.

  ### 8. Centralizes Risk Management, But Setup Requires Expertise

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Siddharth C. | Summer Associate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

I appreciate SAP Risk and Assurance Management for its ability to centralize and automate our enterprise risk control processes. It provides a unified platform for handling risk across various business functions like finance, compliance, and IT. What I like most is its seamless integration with existing SAP systems, allowing us to continuously monitor control effectiveness and reduce manual audit effort. This has significantly improved our audit readiness. I also value its automation features, which reduce manual effort and enhance accuracy by eliminating duplication of work. The tool facilitates a shift from active to proactive risk management, offering a cohesive real-time view instead of relying on fragmented tools. It enables data-driven decision-making and enhances collaboration across teams.

**What do you dislike about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

I think getting the system up and running can be time-consuming and often requires specialized expertise. The user interface, while powerful, isn't always the most intuitive, especially for business users who aren't familiar with SAP's subsystems. It could be more UI-friendly. Also, while reporting customization is flexible, it can sometimes feel pressured. The performance occasionally lags when handling a large volume of data. Overall, though the platform is robust, easier implementation would significantly enhance its effectiveness.

**What problems is SAP Risk and Assurance Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Risk and Assurance Management to centralize and automate risk control processes, streamline internal controls, and continuously monitor for anomalies. It enhances audit readiness, compliance management, and shifts us to proactive risk handling, reducing manual efforts and increasing efficiency.

  ### 9. Efficient Risk Detection with SAP, But Needs Better false Positive Management

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aashina A. | Financial Crime Analyst - FIU (Financial Intelligence Unit ), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

I think the system is very quick, which is really helpful. It helps in accessing the rest without the need for manual intervention all the time. The system quickly analyzes, which saves a lot of time compared to manual deduction. Even though there are a lot of false positives, it ensures that no risks are missed. The transaction monitoring system keeps us updated about the red flags, and we get notified about them, which helps the company to stay informed.

**What do you dislike about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

I think, as I already mentioned about the false positives, sometimes when there's a load of false positives, especially in terms of business accounts with huge transaction values, it alerts as a money laundering risk. This should be improved.

**What problems is SAP Risk and Assurance Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Risk and Assurance Management for risk management in the banking sector. It helps detect red flags and typologies quickly, reducing the need for manual deductions and ensuring no risks are missed despite false positives.

  ### 10. Streamlined our audit prep and SoD management significantly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pravesh R. | Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

The centralized visibility across our SAP landscape is a major time-saver. Before implementing SAP Risk and Assurance Management, we were pulling access reports manually from multiple systems and reconciling them in Excel—it was a nightmare during Q-end. Now, the Segregation of Duties (SoD) conflict analysis runs automatically, and the [INSERT SPECIFIC DETAIL: e.g., "Emergency Access Management logs are comprehensive enough that our external auditors trust them without requesting raw table dumps."] The workflow engine for access requests is also a big win; we have a clean, defensible approval chain that holds up under SOX scrutiny.

**What do you dislike about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

The initial rule set tuning required more effort than I anticipated. Out-of-the-box, the system flagged a lot of "false positives" for SoD risks that were actually mitigated by our organizational structure. It took a couple of cycles with the GRC team to get the risk matrix dialed in to reflect our actual business processes. Also, navigating between the Fiori apps for Risk Management versus Process Control can feel a bit disjointed at times—it's not always a seamless user journey.

**What problems is SAP Risk and Assurance Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Problem: Risk and control data lives in scattered spreadsheets and siloed documents.

Benefit: Centralized, single source of truth. All risks, controls, and processes are linked in one framework, giving leadership a unified view of the control environment instead of chasing versioned Excel files.

---

2. Problem: Manual control testing is slow, expensive, and relies on small sample sizes.

Benefit: Continuous, automated monitoring across the entire data population—not just samples. Reduces manual effort, lowers compliance operating costs, and catches exceptions that sampling would miss.

---

3. Problem: Issues like SoD conflicts or duplicate payments surface too late—usually at audit time.

Benefit: Real-time alerts act as early warning sensors. Anomalies trigger notifications immediately, enabling proactive remediation before financial or compliance damage occurs.

---

4. Problem: Audit prep is a reactive fire drill with scattered evidence collection.

Benefit: Automated audit trail with complete documentation of control executions and remediations. Evidence is always audit-ready, reducing disruption and external auditor fees.

---

5. Problem: Process owners and risk teams operate in silos; process changes outpace risk updates.

Benefit: Integration with process mapping tools ensures that when business processes change, risk assessments update automatically. Risk management stays synchronized with operational reality.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

It lowers costs by using automated, real-time monitoring and issue remediation. This supports proactive risk mitigation, improves audit efficiency, and helps enable better business decision-making.

**What do you dislike about SAP Risk and Assurance Management?**

I found this product difficult to integrate with non-SAP tools, and it also required specialized expertise. At times, it returned a high number of false-positive alerts.

**What problems is SAP Risk and Assurance Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It replaces manual, sample-based audits with automated, continuous monitoring of business processes, which helps reduce the effort and cost per control. It also identifies anomalies in financial and non-financial data in real time, helping prevent errors before they affect financial reports. A centralized dashboard, with SAP Signavio integration, makes it easier to track risks, controls, and overall compliance status, supporting a more proactive (rather than reactive) approach to management. Finally, it automates both issue detection and the workflow for assigning items to owners, which reduces “orphaned” issues and helps speed up resolution.

What I like best about SAP Risk and Assurance Management is how it transforms risk and compliance from a reactive process into a proactive, strategic advantage.
