Migrations break less from the tool and more from event definitions quietly drifting between old and new. The step everyone regrets skipping is running both systems in parallel for a while and reconciling the counts before cutover, so if they don&#39;t match you find out why beforehand, not after it&#39;s your only source of truth. Are you migrating the historical data too, or just going forward? That one decision reshapes the entire risk.
