What I appreciate most about SAP Integrated Business Planning is the way it unifies various aspects of the planning process. Rather than juggling multiple spreadsheets or isolated tools, IBP provides a centralized platform where demand, supply, inventory, and financial planning are interconnected and communicate effectively. The user interface has also seen significant improvements over time. Although it remains an enterprise-level tool, it is noticeably more user-friendly than many older SAP products, particularly when used with the Excel add-in integration. What I find most frustrating about SAP IBP is that, even with its modern interface, the system can be quite overwhelming, particularly for those who are new to it. The steep learning curve means that becoming proficient with configuration, managing master data, and using the Excel add-in typically demands a considerable investment in training.
