"Intuitive Dashboards and Seamless Integration Make Planning Effortless"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?

What I appreciate most about SAP Integrated Business Planning is the intuitive design of its dashboards. You don’t need to be an expert to navigate the system, the menus are logical, and updating plans is straightforward, even when managing a lot of data. We rely on it heavily, especially during busy periods when quick reactions are necessary. There are plenty of features available, though I occasionally have to search around to find specific functions. In terms of integration, connecting it with our other SAP systems was relatively painless, which I consider a definite plus.

Setting it up wasn’t entirely smooth; it took a few attempts to get the workflows configured the way we wanted, and we had to reach out to customer support more than once. The support team was helpful, although sometimes it took a while to get responses. Once everything was up and running, it quickly became an essential daily tool for us. Overall, it saves me a lot of hassle. I just wish the onboarding process had been quicker, but after that initial phase, it really helps keep everything organized when managing complex planning tasks. What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?

One aspect I’m not particularly fond of is that the setup process can feel somewhat clunky. There are quite a few steps involved, and at times I find myself guessing about the purpose of certain options, which has led me to backtrack more than once. While the interface is generally clear, some menus become rather crowded, making it harder to quickly locate what I need when I’m in a rush. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It has a steep learning curve. SAP Integrated Business Planning is extremely powerful but it is not simple, a lot of my users found it overwhelming at first due to the complex configuration and the interconnected modules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?

What I like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is how it brings all aspects of planning—supply, demand, and inventory—together in one place. As a user, I find it much easier to collaborate across departments and make quick, data-driven decisions because everything is visible in real time. The dashboards are intuitive and give me a clear overview, so I’m never working blindly or dealing with disconnected data. I also appreciate how customizable and robust IBP is. The data integration is seamless, and the analytics and forecasting tools help me anticipate changes and stay ahead. The system keeps adding improvements, especially with AI features, making it feel like I’m always using cutting-edge technology Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?

What I dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is that the learning curve is pretty steep. When I first started using it, it took me a while to figure out all the features and how everything fits together. Configuring the system for my company’s specific needs was time-consuming, and I sometimes felt overwhelmed by the amount of customization required Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Real-Time Insights and Seamless Planning Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?

The best thing about SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is its real-time insights and predictive analytics, which help businesses anticipate demand shifts and optimize supply chains quickly.

It’s cloud-based, flexible, and integrates sales, operations, inventory, and demand planning into one connected system, making collaboration and responsiveness much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?

SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is powerful, but it comes with notable drawbacks that many organizations find challenging. The first issue is cost—both licensing and implementation expenses are high, making it less accessible for smaller companies. Beyond cost, the platform’s complexity creates a steep learning curve; users often need extensive training or external consultants to fully leverage its capabilities. Another common frustration is the user interface, which is not as intuitive or modern compared to other cloud-based planning tools, slowing adoption and daily use. Customization is also difficult, requiring technical expertise to adapt IBP to unique business needs. Finally, while integration with SAP systems is strong, connecting IBP seamlessly with non-SAP platforms can be cumbersome. In short, SAP IBP delivers advanced planning power, but its expense, complexity, and usability challenges are the main reasons users dislike it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Integration, Steep Learning Curve"
5/5
What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?

I really appreciate how SAP Integrated Business Planning brings together different planning layers into a single environment. The real-time visibility across demand, supply, and inventory is a standout feature for me. This functionality allows me to immediately see the impact of changes in forecasts or parameters on the supply plan and safety stock levels. Additionally, the scenario planning function is highly beneficial, as it lets me compare different assumptions side by side, thereby providing clarity on trade-offs and making the planning logic clearer. Even though I only utilized a small part of the system, these features significantly enhanced my understanding as they provided a holistic view that is more comprehensive than learning each aspect separately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?

I found the learning curve for SAP Integrated Business Planning to be quite steep, as many settings like planning, operators key figure configurations, and master data relationships were not intuitive at first. Small mistakes in parameters produced results that were difficult to understand or interpret, and sometimes the interface didn't make it clear why something changed. Additionally, the navigation between different planning views felt fragmented, which slowed down my understanding of the cause-and-effect links. For someone building a conceptual foundation, clearer explanations or guided steps showing how each configuration influences the plan would be beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
