What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?

Heroku has enabled us to automate our file processing tasks, such as running the unzip process for RFP case attachments directly on the platform. It has also made it easier to manage real-time synchronization of the contents within those zip files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?

The platform itself is easy to get started with, has a clean developer experience, and abstracts away much of the infrastructure complexity. Deployment and scaling are straightforward, especially for small projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?

The way Heroku handles billing issues and account deletion is unacceptable. Missing a payment — even unintentionally — can lead to permanent deletion of the entire account and all applications.

Notifications are sent only via email, which can easily end up in spam, with no in-product warnings, no dashboard alerts, and no explicit confirmation before irreversible deletion.

There is no recovery path, no backup option, and no meaningful escalation process once deletion happens. This creates a serious risk for any production or business-critical workload.

Even if users take responsibility for a missed payment, the lack of safeguards and proportional response makes the platform unreliable from a risk-management perspective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Salesforce Heroku helps reduce infrastructure complexity by offering an easy way to deploy and run applications without managing servers. It can be useful for quick prototyping and smaller projects where speed and simplicity matter.

Critical operational aspects like billing enforcement, account lifecycle, and data retention are handled in a very rigid way, which can create serious risk for production use.
