## Salesforce Heroku Pricing FAQs

Generated using AI

Is Salesforce Heroku free, or does it offer a free trial?

Salesforce Heroku does not offer a permanent free plan, but it does provide a free trial that lets users to test the product before committing to a paid plan. Trial availability and duration may vary, so users should review the seller's official pricing page for the most current details.

How much does Salesforce Heroku cost in 2026?

According to G2 data, Salesforce Heroku pricing in 2026 starts at $7.00 and can reach $250.00 depending on the selected plan. Pricing may vary based on billing terms or usage, so users should review the Salesforce's official pricing page for the most current details.

Who is Salesforce Heroku pricing best suited for?

Salesforce Heroku's pricing is best suited for small-to-mid-market development teams and startups that prioritize deployment speed and minimal DevOps overhead over raw cost efficiency. G2 reviewers from computer software, internet, and IT services industries at the small business segment consistently praise Salesforce Heroku for rapid MVP deployment and prototyping at the Basic and Standard tiers. Mid-market reviewers in pharmaceuticals, marketing, and program development highlight its full-stack PaaS capabilities and Salesforce integration. Enterprise reviewers in financial services and insurance leverage higher tiers for compliance, scalability, and Salesforce Connect workflows. G2 reviews of Salesforce Heroku indicate it is least suited for cost-sensitive SMEs, solo developers on tight budgets, or teams requiring granular infrastructure control at scale.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Salesforce Heroku?

Salesforce Heroku no longer offers a free tier, a change G2 reviewers cite as a significant drawback, particularly for students, hobbyists, and developers evaluating the platform. The entry-level Basic plan at $7.00 covers Git and Docker deployment, custom domains, free SSL, and always-on dynos. Salesforce Heroku's Standard plans starting at $25.00 add horizontal scalability, app metrics, threshold alerts, and zero-downtime deploys. Salesforce Heroku's Performance tier at $250.00 introduces elastic runtime and advanced CI/CD. Enterprise adds HIPAA/PCI compliance via Heroku Shield, private network spaces, and upgraded 30-minute support SLAs. G2 reviewers note the removal of free dynos makes Salesforce Heroku unsuitable for hobby projects and early-stage prototyping without upfront cost commitment.

Is Salesforce Heroku considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers present a split verdict on Salesforce Heroku's pricing. High-rating reviewers consistently acknowledge that Salesforce Heroku costs more than AWS, GCP, Digital Ocean, or self-managed infrastructure, yet justify it through eliminated DevOps overhead, rapid deployment, and managed scalability. One mid-market reviewer noted a 60% improvement in release speed. However, cost complaints are among the most frequently cited cons across small business reviewers, who flag steep per-dyno upgrade jumps, expensive add-ons, and pricing that compounds quickly at scale. G2 reviewers comparing alternatives specifically name AWS, Digital Ocean, EngineYard, Netlify, Vercel, and Render as cheaper options. Salesforce Heroku delivers strong value for teams prioritizing speed over cost control, but less so for budget-constrained small businesses or high-scale deployments.

"Fast, Effortless Deployments with Salesforce Heroku’s Seamless Scalability"

5/5

What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?

Salesforce Heroku makes application deployment incredibly simple and fast, with seamless scalability and minimal infrastructure management. Its deep integration with Salesforce, intuitive dashboard, and automated scaling streamline development, while excellent onboarding and documentation make setup effortless even for new users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?

While Salesforce Heroku is powerful, its pricing can become expensive as applications scale, especially with multiple dynos and add‑ons. The dashboard performance occasionally lags when managing large deployments, and deeper analytics or cost‑optimization insights would make it more efficient for enterprise users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?

We previously struggled with slow and complex application deployments that required constant infrastructure management. Salesforce Heroku solved this by providing a fully managed, scalable platform that lets us deploy and scale apps within minutes. It has significantly reduced our DevOps overhead, improved release speed by nearly 60%, and allowed our team to focus more on innovation and product improvements instead of server maintenance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Missed one payment → entire account deleted"

0/5

What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?

The platform itself is easy to get started with, has a clean developer experience, and abstracts away much of the infrastructure complexity. Deployment and scaling are straightforward, especially for small projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?

The way Heroku handles billing issues and account deletion is unacceptable. Missing a payment — even unintentionally — can lead to permanent deletion of the entire account and all applications.

Notifications are sent only via email, which can easily end up in spam, with no in-product warnings, no dashboard alerts, and no explicit confirmation before irreversible deletion.

There is no recovery path, no backup option, and no meaningful escalation process once deletion happens. This creates a serious risk for any production or business-critical workload.

Even if users take responsibility for a missed payment, the lack of safeguards and proportional response makes the platform unreliable from a risk-management perspective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?

Salesforce Heroku helps reduce infrastructure complexity by offering an easy way to deploy and run applications without managing servers. It can be useful for quick prototyping and smaller projects where speed and simplicity matter.

However, this convenience comes at the cost of limited transparency and control. Critical operational aspects like billing enforcement, account lifecycle, and data retention are handled in a very rigid way, which can create serious risk for production use. The platform solves deployment problems well, but does not provide enough safeguards when something goes wrong. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
