## About Row Zero
Row Zero is a spreadsheet built for modern cloud data. It’s secure, connected, and scalable to massive data sizes. Row Zero works like Excel and Google Sheets, with functions and features familiar to any spreadsheet user. Teams can securely analyze, collaborate on, and operationalize massive datasets without sacrificing the spreadsheet workflows users already know. Row Zero is SOC 2 Type II Certified, HIPAA and GDPR compliant, and trusted by the world’s largest companies. Here’s 5 reasons companies use Row Zero: 1. Big data power and speed - Row Zero supports 10s of millions of rows on a Free plan and Enterprise plans scale to billion row spreadsheets (1000x Excel’s limits). 2. Built-in data connectors - Securely connect to your data warehouse (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.) and build connected spreadsheets that auto-update. You can also write-back spreadsheet data to the data warehouse. 3. Security and data governance - Data is only accessible to authorized users on secure company logins via SSO, SCIM, and OAuth. Enterprises can enforce row-level security, set access controls, and restrict data export so data never leaves the cloud. 4. Powerful AI spreadsheet assistant - The built-in AI chat makes it easy to analyze big data with natural language prompts. AI analysis uses spreadsheet functions and features and is fully auditable and editable. Enterprises can “bring your own key” so the AI runs on your approved model on your infrastructure. 5. It’s a real spreadsheet - It’s not a “spreadsheet-like” BI tool. Row Zero is a modern alternative to Excel and Google Sheets with 350+ functions, charts, pivot tables, keyboard shortcuts, etc. You can work with raw data cell-by-cell and build complex multi-sheet models.

## Row Zero Reviews
 ### 1. Game-Changer for Real-Time Dashboard Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph W. | Lead, Truckload Operations

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Row Zero?**

I use Row Zero to manage my high-volume logistics account and appreciate its ability to unlock lightweight dashboard creation for real-time visibility without the hours of work required for tools like Snowflake or Looker. It's become the cornerstone of our Customer Escalation dashboard, as I'm able to spin up a live dashboard in just a few minutes, which is a game-changer for managing customer service escalations. I really like that Row Zero removes the need for query-building before performing business analysis and that I can spin up a connected table for holistic data capturing, allowing my team to perform spreadsheet analysis seamlessly. The speed at which Row Zero handles large datasets is essential to me, and its features are intuitive, closely aligning with Google Sheets/Excel logic. Personally, I rely heavily on connected pivot tables to analyze business data both broadly and in granular detail. Having live tables that I can easily filter and duplicate provides me with speed and agility.

**What do you dislike about Row Zero?**

I have manual audit data that is essential for my business, but cannot automate. I would love to be able to apply a lookup function to a connected table to bring in that manual data, but still enjoy the speed and flexibility of the live data. Right now, I don't think a connected table can have a v or xlookup from a static table applied. I would like to be able to do that.

**What problems is Row Zero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Row Zero to manage logistics with live dashboards, eliminating static data pulls. It unlocks lightweight dashboard creation, real-time visibility, and intuitive spreadsheet-like analysis without SQL. The speed in handling large datasets and connected pivot tables offers flexibility and detail-oriented insights.

 ### 2. Row Zero: Big Data finally gets user friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Row Zero?**

Row Zero is incredibly useful as a tool to manage large data sets. It allows me to pull in live data from multiple sources (I use Snowflake) and manipulate that data using tools that would be familiar to any reasonably proficient user of Excel/Google sheets.

This combination of live data, ability to handle millions of active cells without bogging down, and user friendly pivoting/charting tools is unique and really brings a lot of value for me.

**What do you dislike about Row Zero?**

Row Zero is a relatively new tool and as such there are still lot of opportunities for features to be added and enhanced. Excel users will not have full 1:1 feature parity. Though the tool is being updated constantly and I don't frequently run into core features that are lacking.

**What problems is Row Zero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Row Zero helps me build robust reporting structures for my large data sets that help me monitor my business. It also allows for quit iteration so I can build new reports on the fly and make informed decisions more quickly than I otherwise could without the tool.

 ### 3. Simplifies Data Management with Ease

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Teague W. | Manager, Brokerage Operations

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Row Zero?**

I think the best thing about Row Zero is its easy user interface. It's very clean, clear, and pretty easy to use. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel. It's simplistic but in a format where you can get everything done through it without a massive learning curve. I appreciate that I don't have to look at a bunch of YouTube videos or undergo extensive training to use it. This aspect makes it a practical tool for making quick business decisions.

**What do you dislike about Row Zero?**

I haven't played much with the data visualization part of Row Zero. I've done it a little bit, and it just didn't seem to come out maybe as clearly as I would like to.

**What problems is Row Zero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Row Zero helps me make large datasets coherent and easily understood, aiding quick business decisions. It allows my team, even those without coding skills, to effectively manage and manipulate data.

 ### 4. Row Zero Makes Data Access Easy with a Familiar Spreadsheet Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivan G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Row Zero?**

I’ve been using Row Zero and have come away pretty impressed with its core philosophy.

What stands out immediately is how simple it is to use. It leans into a format everyone already understands—the spreadsheet—which dramatically lowers the barrier to entry. That familiarity isn’t just cosmetic; it genuinely democratizes access to data across teams that would otherwise rely heavily on technical resources. People can get to answers faster without needing to learn a new paradigm.

**What do you dislike about Row Zero?**

As usage scales, version control can become a challenge. When more users and workflows get involved, keeping a single source of truth and tracking changes cleanly isn’t as straightforward as in more structured data systems. It’s manageable, but something to be mindful of depending on how broadly you roll it out.

**What problems is Row Zero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy access to business data for everyone in the company

 ### 5. Excel-Like Power for Massive Datasets Without Crashing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Row Zero?**

You can work with data in an excel environment with extremely large data sets. If you were to try to run even fractions of the models that RowZero can handle in Excel instead, it WILL crash your computer. RowZero has been a great workaround for the team.

**What do you dislike about Row Zero?**

Sometimes on larger models, the calculations buffer can take a minute or 2. I havent experienced crashing/data loss yet though.

**What problems is Row Zero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have massive data sets that change over time, and we need to be able to pull 1 million rows from our data warehouse and analyze it quickly. RowZero can do this but Excel crashes.

 ### 6. Row Zero: A Lifesaver for Handling Massive Data

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shankar V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Row Zero?**

I love Row Zero for its fantastic speed. It’s very, very fast and doesn’t really depend on the number of rows, which is crucial for our needs. The features they keep adding, like pivots and filters, make it a great alternative to Excel. The initial setup was very easy with hardly any training required, and we got onto it within a day.

**What do you dislike about Row Zero?**

Row Zero may not have some of the more 'crazy' features that Excel offers, but this isn't really a problem for us. No major complaints at the moment.

**What problems is Row Zero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Row Zero handles millions of rows of solution usage data, unlike Excel that hangs beyond 100,000. It's fast and includes features like pivots and filters, making it a great Excel alternative.

 ### 7. Easy Data Entry but Needs Reliable Saving

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony L. | Clinical Psychologist - Private Practice, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Row Zero?**

I like that Row Zero is easy to use and feels similar to Excel. My usage is simple, involving data entry with some cut/paste functionality and formulas, and Row Zero meets these basic needs.

**What do you dislike about Row Zero?**

I find it a bit frustrating how often Row Zero seems to need to refresh itself to resume operations if I have not continually been using it. Also, while it is supposed to save continually, I've had several instances where my work was not saved, which was quite frustrating. A button to ensure entries are saved would be helpful.

**What problems is Row Zero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Row Zero for entering information. It's easy to use and similar to Excel but doesn't solve specific problems.

 ### 8. Efficient for Handling Large Datasets with Room for Improved File Organization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Row Zero?**

I like Row Zero's ability to handle large datasets without freezing frequently. It's very nice to not have a solution that freezes often, reducing the frustration of working with large datasets and helps me do my job more quickly. Also, the initial setup was very easy, which I appreciated.

**What do you dislike about Row Zero?**

The folder functionality, it would be a lot easier to stay organized if files could be organized in a folder format.

**What problems is Row Zero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Row Zero lets me collaborate like Google Sheets but with the enhanced processing power of Excel. It handles large datasets without freezing, reducing frustration and speeding up my work.

 ### 9. Powerful for Big Data No Excel Export With Formulas

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrien G. | M&A Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

Make huge calculations on cohorts or accounting equivalents

 ### 10. Easier Than Excel and HIPAA Compliance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Alternative Medicine | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Row Zero?**

It's honestly easier than Excel!! It's like the best mix of what Excel is capable but user-friendliness of Google Sheets. AND it's HIPAA compliant

**What do you dislike about Row Zero?**

Nothing really... I wish it loaded a little faster and the free version was more extensive but it's still great.

**What problems is Row Zero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HIPAA compliant! Makes it so I can crunch my stats which I love to do easily and worry-free.

 ### 11. Clean Interface - But Sheet Order needs work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Row Zero?**

Simple and clean interface. Easy to import csv

**What do you dislike about Row Zero?**

When you add a new sheet, it goes to the farthest right which makes it cumbersome to move sheets when you want them side by side. When you import a csv with leading zeroes, leading zeroes are removed

**What problems is Row Zero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralized platform for worksheets. Makes collaboration easier

 ### 12. Handles Huge Data Sheets Fast

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Row Zero?**

Can manipulate very large data sheets very quickly

**What do you dislike about Row Zero?**

Some simple and useful functions from excel don't exists. such as highlighting conditional formatting and sorting by color

**What problems is Row Zero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work with very large data sheets and Row Zero and handle the file size without slow loading or breaking

 ### 13. Excels at data manipulation and collaboration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peng Y. | Senior Sales Strategist, Business Supplies and Equipment, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Row Zero?**

For myself as a financial analyst, I have found Row Zero to be beneficial in dealing with large amounts of data. It is remarkable that the product can have up to a billion rows and directly manipulate them using only the spreadsheet interface.

**What do you dislike about Row Zero?**

To create presentations or reports that include complex or interactive visualizations, it is necessary to export data to another tool. This becomes disruptive to workflow and significantly hinders the possibility of truly digging further into the data found in Row Zero.

**What problems is Row Zero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working in Row Zero, I am able to handle extremely large sets of data on my own, without causing results of delayed work due to the IT or BI specialists involvement. The social tools enhance work flow in carrying out collaborative works on data analytical projects.

 ### 14. Outstanding in data manipulation and Team work.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kantaphong S. | Senior Portfolio Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Row Zero?**

Row Zero has been a great help especially for a financial analyst in managing practically all the data for this given template on large datasets. It is convenient to open and analyze spreadsheets over 1 billion rows, so there is no need to divide the data into segments.

**What do you dislike about Row Zero?**

One of the main downsides of Row Zero is that it does not offer as many features related to charting and graphing as I would prefer for explaining complicated financial products.

**What problems is Row Zero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Row Zero allows my team to deal with financial data sizes of Peta Bytes range directly without any help from the IT or BI teams. It makes our work much easier and prevents the postponing of the task to make analysis quicker.
