"Ridge gets my data and stays focused."
5/5
What do you like best about Ridge AI?

I like the short prompts and the focused responses. I don’t need to micromanage Ridge’s AI thought process with long, overly detailed prompts, because Ridge already understands my data. The answers are direct and don’t include the often tedious summaries, recaps, recap summaries, or off-topic suggestions I tend to get from more general AI tools.

I am impressed by the responsiveness of their team. Over the past year I have sent Ridge emails with questions or suggestions, and I have always received a response and seen changes made. For example, last January I requested "How many" questions to return an exact count because I was just getting a list of all the item in the count. I also commented that date/time values were getting sorted alphabetically, not chronologically. Both of these issues have since been resolved. Another example is I had a csv file that would not load and kept getting error. I reached out to Ridge. My file name started with a number, which caused the error and within a day the bug was identified then fixed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ridge AI?

The AI sometimes can’t fully reason through my natural-language questions when they sound like a data-cleansing request, even though phrased differently they could translate into a metric request. For example, I asked it to filter out invalid dates. The response was: "The request is an instruction to filter invalid date values, but it does not specify a resulting analysis or metric to return." When I reframed the question as, "What is the count of invalid dates?" I got a response. It would be an improvement if the AI could translate a data cleansing questions into a metric question because there is overlap.

A second issue is how my data gets assigned a data type when it loads. Dates are often recorded as strings, even though the AI recognizes the field as date time based on responses. It would be helpful if the UI showed the corrected data type alongside the raw data type.

Sometimes larger datasets are slow to load. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Analyst-First AI BI Built for Embedding"
5/5
What do you like best about Ridge AI?

Ridge AI is built for the analyst and helps you think like an analyst. It has just enough guardrails in the beginning to guide users new to the world of data analytics. For more experienced users, it's easy to pull off the training wheels and start designing. For folks familiar with other BI tools, switching to a primarily chat-based interface can feel a bit like action at a distance, but Ridge never lets AI take the reigns and auto-drive. It's more like cruise control, helping you stay on the road at a constant pace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ridge AI?

Ridge is a new product. As an experienced data visualization professional, it's easy to run into roadblocks that more mature programs don't have. That's ok. The more I work with it and understand the underlying logic, the less that is an issue. I've experienced far more frustrating moments from seemingly "full-featured" BI programs with no work-arounds. The Ridge team has captured 90% of use cases and often have options even when the path is not straight-forward. For example, I tried to build a barbell chart today and it returned a Stacked Bar chart. With a little extra prompting, it was easy to get where I wanted to go--something I still struggle with on an famous free product that shall rename nameless. "Fast, Reliable AI-Powered Analytics That Reduces Custom Reporting and Empowers ROI Conversations"
5/5
What do you like best about Ridge AI?

We are a SaaS company targeting Fortune 500 companies. Most of our users are non-technical, not comfortable with technology or math, yet they need to make timely, data-informed decisions, and have conservations with their leadership about their progress and ROI. That has created a huge gap between what our reports say, how our users interpret, and what story they are supposed to tell. Ridge AI helps close that gap. Instead of fielding questions about metrics consistencies across reports and endless requests for custom reports, we can help our clients focus on real data-backed value conversations and storytellings. I especially value how lightweight and fast Ridge AI is. It is not just an AI, but an insights AI together with a smooth reporting experience. Its in-browser caching helps keep report rendering times impressively short (compared with Tableau and other BI vendors). It is plug and play, we can connect it to our data platform, spin off dashboards quickly, and have its AI agent ready to answer detailed long-tail questions right away. I like that it is AI-powered but the answers are reliable and solid. The safeguards, data dictionary, and definitions help make sure answers are accurate, with responsible evidence and explanations. Ridge AI saves us a lot of resources and time away from committing to custom reports, so we can have real conversations with clients about value, business outcomes, and storytelling instead of report implementation details. What do you dislike about Ridge AI?

I’m overall very satisfied with Ridge AI. Would like to see more MCP integrations (which I believe is coming soon) so we can unlock the guided agentic insights to action workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quick answers from data, and you can share them"
5/5
What do you like best about Ridge AI?

I can drop in some data and get useful insight out of it quickly, without setting anything up first. The new image-to-dashboard feature is great. And making an artifact is one thing, but being able to share it with other people is what actually makes it useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ridge AI?

For a quick one-off question I sometimes still reach for Claude Code over a local file, because it can get me an answer faster. The catch is that the result then lives on my laptop and is hard to share, which is exactly the part Ridge does well, so I'd love to see it close that speed gap. "Quick, Intuitive Dashboard Builder with Spot-On AI Suggestions"
5/5
What do you like best about Ridge AI?

It offers a quick, intuitive user journey, with step-by-step guidance for building a customized dashboard that fits my specific needs. I really like the AI suggestions for what I wanted out of my data, and they were right on the money. The ability to refine the dashboard either as a whole or by individual components is also great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ridge AI?

Latency when the model was thinking was a bit longer than I expected, and the UI/design feels a little sparse. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lightning-Fast Dashboards with Ridge"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Ridge AI?

Connecting to Databricks is super easy, and getting from a connection to an initial dashboard is extremely fast. The first pass Ridge generates is consistently a really good starting point. From there I can easily tweak individual components to get each dashboard where it needs to be. Once published, the dashboards are faster than any other product I’ve seen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ridge AI?

I’d like to see an MCP integration. More of my analytics work now runs through agents, and I want them to be able to query Ridge dashboards and their data directly instead of treating Ridge as a separate destination. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Conversational Data Exploration That Uncovers Surprising Correlations"
5/5
What do you like best about Ridge AI?

I enjoyed being able to explore the data and refine the graphs by having a conversation instead of having to manually alter them. The ability for it to analyze correlations in data sets with many parameters was helpful. I was playing with obesity data by country, and when I saw that Spain had peaked in obesity rate in 2010 and fell until today, I was curious if there were any reasons why that might be the case in the data. It analyzed the data and found negative correlations where I would have assumed there'd be positive ones, which made me realize that my rationale for why obesity rates would drop isn't always correct. It then made several good suggestions for new graphs to add that would explore the question further. I found that to be an enjoyable experience, and could see this being a time saver with large data sets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ridge AI?

I wouldn't call it a dislike, but I can see many opportunities for additional features that could be added which might be useful to people. For instance, if a data set is missing information but it is available from a public source, it would be an amazing feature to allow the AI to seek it out and add it to the dataset upon request! I think there's room for this app to provide even more features over time as people find good use cases for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Easy Insights with Diverse Results—Answers All Our Coverage Questions"
5/5
What do you like best about Ridge AI?

Ease of use, speed and diversity of results. From just a few recorded values it can analyze and interpret results. It is embedded in our website so any ski patrol member with access can use it to analyze our run data-run coverage, vertical feet patrolled, time between runs, who is where when, etc Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ridge AI?

For my application of Ridge AI analyzing ski patrol run data I don’t have a downside to this software. It is able to answer all questions I have regarding our coverage on the hill. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ridge AI is the right mental model for seeing into big tables"
5/5
What do you like best about Ridge AI?

Ridge AI brings coding model innovations together with clear usability mindset and strong foundations in tabular data analysis. It feels like a well-put-together solution for exploring large tabular datasets. I like that I can put data in, clean it up in a separate stage, add columns, and use an agent conversation with linked graphs in the conversation thread and main view. I found this a valuable way to explore surprises in my data. When I shared small issues as an early beta tester, the Ridge team was already working to fix them. It's clear they have their eye on quality. The initial setup was very easy. For analyzing performance logs and other exploratory analysis of big tables and databases, I think Ridge AI’s approach is probably the best I’ve seen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ridge AI?

Most of my work - scientific data analysis - needs bespoke tools connected with graphs/charts, and I wouldn't expect Ridge or any other provider to work on this. For the parts of my job that need a dive into tables -- business data, high-performance compute logging data, and other types of problems -- Ridge AI gave a better experience than any of the other tools I have used. "AI-Supported Dashboard Creation with a Minimal Learning Curve"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Ridge AI?

What I love most is how easy it is to get started creating dashboards, with very little learning curve. With just a few prompts, a new user can create charts, revise them, and build in interactivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ridge AI?

I get the sense the product is still fairly new, so there’s room for improvement and additional features. For example, it would be helpful to have an adaptable summary narrative that automatically updates based on the current filter settings, along with stronger provenance features so users can see what the AI did without having to debug SQL.
