Ribon Reviews & Product Details

Ribon is a digital platform that enables hospital foundations to run ongoing employee giving programs in a fully automated experience — generating recurring donations without the need for intrusive fundraising asks. The platform converts a predefined campaign budget into digital donation credits (called “tickets”), which are distributed to employees on a recurring basis. Each employee can use these tickets to support vetted nonprofits selected by the organization. In addition to using the tickets they receive, employees can also choose to purchase extra tickets with their own funds — generating additional donations on top of the initial campaign budget. These voluntary contributions often raise amounts equivalent to 50% or more of the original institutional funding, significantly amplifying the overall impact. Ribon handles the entire flow: ➤ Campaign communications: emails, announcements, messages, and any branded assets ➤ Distribution of tickets to employees ➤ Selection and curation of nonprofit causes ➤ Donation execution: credit card, payroll, or other methods — fully integrated with the organization’s systems ➤ Reporting and analytics ➤ Real-time impact visualization ➤ Native ambassador and community features All engagement happens in the Ribon app, where employees receive notifications, explore causes, and donate with a single tap. Admins have access to a dashboard with metrics on participation, donation trends, and internal engagement. Built for simplicity and scalability, Ribon requires minimal operational effort from foundation teams while increasing visibility and frequency of giving. Benefits include: ❋ Increased participation through recurring micro-actions ❋ Automated ticket distribution and tracking ❋ Alignment with hospital culture and DEI initiatives ❋ Customizable branding and messaging ❋ Up to 10x higher employee engagement compared to annual campaigns Ribon is trusted by leading healthcare institutions, backed by Blackbaud, and recognized by the Gates Foundation as one of the top 10 innovations in philanthropy.
