There are many ways to accomplish the same goal or task within REVIT, and this can be confusing. Also, REVIT has so many capabilities that it is sometimes hard to remember where to go to complete the command or task. I work in the MEP industry, and I think one of its best advantages is that I can be sure I am placing the pipes, equipment and devices in a accurate scale. And also I can coordinate the vertical routes in common areas since the beginning, and most importantly define the mounting height or necessary space of every system. For users, it is very easy to use, and the integration is done really well by transferring the old CAD standards of companies to the new BIM technologies. What I like least about the program is that the appearance of mechanical elements such as ventilation ducts and plumbing channels cannot be modeled according to manufacturing standards regarding the length of the elements that are part of a mechanical network.
