Securly uses Industry -Standard encryption protocols like TLS -1.2 With AES-256 or AES-128.Some time it has not been completely Hands-Off, and I discovered I needed to upgrade Memory on NAS devices, as Resilio does consume a fair bit of memory ,and the NAS would Kill the Resilio service if Memory or CPU usage became too high, but through experience and understanding restrictions of Hardware and software,I find it is now highly reliable, and I have peace of mind that all peer locations have an Up-To-Date version of all work files. **What do you dislike about Resilio Active Everywhere?** Resilio Active Everywhere can feel complex to configure initially. There's still a little lag with support in comparison with our previous product. They had 3 guys that handled all support calls, all were well versed in the product and were able to resolve support calls in a very short time. While various other tools seemed to do the job fine at first they all started to fail or got unusable slow once a very high amount of files had to be synced. The only tool we found that was able to do the job and not only get it done, but get it done fast and reliable was resilio. Beside beeing able to synchronize massive amounts of files, the deployment and managment of hundreds of synchronization jobs was super simple, thanks to the centralized management console and API. There are plenty of controls available to manage performance impact on the machine, like how many disk workers are active, how many requests should be handeled in parallel and a time based bandwidth scheduler that alows faster syncing when the production load on the machine is low. The possebility to mange differnt profiles for different machine and job types makes it super simple to assign specific load profiles to your different groups of machines. Synchronisation errors can be easily tracked in the console or via the API so you always have an overview if any files causes trouble with the synchronization and can fix it if needed. Thanks to the flexebility on how their agents can connect (directly / via proxy / chained) and controls on which agent can communicate with which other agent it is possible to adopt it to any network layout / policy I can think of. One thing that makes them absolutely outstanding is their awesome customer support, they respond super fast, they have a ready solution for almost any problem you could run into (there are tons of advanced configuration options that are not directly visible) and if there's a problem they can't solve directly they get the dev team involved to find a solution. All in all the best synchronization tool out there and the best customer experience in a very long time with the resilio team! **What do you dislike about Resilio Active Everywhere?** There's not really anything we disliked. However, as with everything, there are some parts that could be improved: The access management should be sufficent for most user, but if you need a more fine grained or full isolation it gets to it's limits, in case you need a more fine grained or full isolation you can ask them to have a second management console, that solved the problem for us. Hardlinked and sparse files can cause trouble, currently hard linked files and sparse files are treated like normal files, so they get synced, but allocate their own/full space on the target side, it would be nice if those could be detected as hardlinks / sparse files. But I can also see how the hardlink detection could cause some serious performance impact if there's a massive amount of them. **What problems is Resilio Active Everywhere solving and how is that benefiting you?** We mainly have to sync massive amounts of files, mainly complete server with a couple TB of data and up to 30 million files on them. These syncs need to happen as fast as possible and with as little delay on change as possible, all while beeing able to exactly define how many resource the syncing might use to avoid impact on the production workload. I couldn't tell you the number of features that Resilio Active Everywhere has, but I know it does what we needed extremely well. We discovered that DFSR had broken due to a group policy change and files were out of sync. The DFS Private folders had started to accumulate issue files and had almost doubled the drive usage. Resilio was able to get everything synchronized again within a couple of hours. It was extremely easy to implement and integrate into our existing file shares. It was completely seamless to the end users. I go weeks without logging into Resilio because it is a set and forget kind of product. It just does what it needs to without any intervention from our team. Also it's ability to scale and handle millions of files is what sets it apart from other solutions. Also, the fact that sync happens over a mesh network instead being limited to "point to point" sync enables our different locations to work as a unified team. It "just works". The Management Portal is very simple and intuitive but not dumbed down. You have a lot of advance controls if you need it and the web interface allows non-admins see what's happening. Lastly, the support team is fantastic. I've had direct access to the developers and engineers who are very patient and knowledgeable. They even wrote me a special build of their software to facilitate our pipeline needs. **What do you dislike about Resilio Active Everywhere?** The price point might turn some people off but it's very reasonable compared to other services like Signiant and Aspera. The fact that I was able to talk to the devs directly and that the support team responds right away to make sure issue are resolved is what makes Resilio Connect Server worth it. On the other hand, Resilio Connect Desktop and Desktop Sync are amazing products, but the price points are a little steep per seat. I would gladly pay more money if I got more seats so I could deploy to our team of offsite staff or freelancers. Right now, we only have a handful of Resilio Connect Desktop licenses for the people that absolutely need it. One issue is the confusion between their consumer product called Resilio Sync and their enterprise server called Resilio Connect. I actually demo'd Resilio Sync first and didn't think it would suit our needs. It was only after I was able to demo Resilio Connect that I was impressed with what I saw.
