"FAST AND WELL-STRUCTURED"

What do you like best?

The best part is its speed and Maintainance. Its very well structured and very easy to use and the documentation regarding the pricing and all are crystal clear to the customers and thus it is very much practical and can handle big data with good an efficiency

What do you dislike?

Everything is great, nothing to hate. Just little improvement can be done in case of big data handling as in case of real-time application it may lag a little if the size of data is quite large

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It is a very good platform depending on your needs and its support system is its best quality

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am trying to implement my major project using Redis as it becomes easy using Redis as I am using a lot of Geospatial data.the major benefit is its way of handling the geospatial data and its speed and well structured cloud

"The Best Cache DB for handling Big data"

What do you like best?

Number of read write per second of redis

What do you dislike?

Redis is a wonderful db tool, nothing to hate

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Redis is very powerful in storing and retrieving the data from database. The number of read write per second they are offerring is still great.

Another great thing they are giving is geo-spatial datatype they are throwing to customers was mind blowing.

I personally admire the redis flash is also maturing.

Any company that is using the big data must consider redis for leveraging the uses of nosql capabilities.

I would suggest the people who are handling more api's,people who are having more data can move towards redis.

Concurrency and consistency. Architecting a solution to count millions and billions of items can get complex when events are captured in different regions, and they all need to converge in one place. Data consistency becomes an issue if many processes or threads are updating the same count concurrently. Locking techniques avoid consistency problems and deliver transactional level consistency, but slow down the solution.

One of the common use cases in metering is to track usage against time and to limit resources after the time runs out. In Redis, one can set a time-to-live value for the keys. Redis will automatically disable the keys after a set timeout.

Redis data structures come with built-in commands that are optimized to execute with maximum efficiency in memory (right where the data is stored). Some data structures help you accomplish much more than the counting of objects. For example, the Set data structure guarantees uniqueness to all the elements.

Sorted Set goes a step further by ensuring that only unique elements are added to the set, and allowing you to order the elements based on a score. Ordering your elements by time in a Sorted Set data structure, for example, will offer you a time-series database. With the help of Redis commands you could get your elements in a certain order, or delete items that you don’t need anymore.

Hyperloglog is another special data structure that estimates counts of millions of unique items without needing to store the objects themselves or impact memory.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Number of transactions are high and we are handling through redis.

What Web Hosting solution do you use?

Thanks for letting us know!

"Best redis cloud provider "

What do you like best?

Easy to connect and use. The PaS was incredibly easy to integrate with...as easy as running Redis locally...except at an immense scale. This allowed our business to incorporate the speed and flexibility of Redis without having to spend time deploying and managing our own Redis infrastructure.

What do you dislike?

Inability to run complex queries (but this is just the nature of this database)

Recommendations to others considering the product:

support javascript as scripting language and connecting and integrating to another databases as an optional module .

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

So we wanted to store the customer profile information and we didn't wanted to use relational databases since it becomes too complicated to use. In essence to Redis, it is very easy to change the structure and I don't have to write big queries to fetch customer related information.

"Fast and reliable services"

What do you like best?

The system is of high performance and well structured. It is simple and handy to use, in my opinion. I like that solution and the service. It is easy to go with, in my opinion. It has many advantages, and no cons.

What do you dislike?

everything is great, I can not see any cons. That is a great product that will be interesting to study and simple to understand. However, some aspects could be sophisticated and will require closer look into implementation methods.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

give it a try

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Redis enterprise provides fast and reliable services for complex online developments. The implementation that I used to work with served processing of data between cloud distributed systems and internal components of a UNIX based machine.

"Scale Redis services in a few clicks !"

What do you like best?

Redis is a critical component in many systems now days. It is incredibly fast, powerful and stable with an extraordinary set of useful data structures, suitable for most tasks. Redis cloud make it incredibly easy to scale your needs in matter of few clicks. It is very affordable, the pricing the fair and the service is easy-to-use and highly available.

What do you dislike?

I do not dislike anything in particular about Redis cloud. It would be useful if customers can choose between a set of data-centers around the globe, despite the fact that redis itself is very fast and Redis cloud is incredible in delivering data, latency still plays a huge roll because of connectivity issues. It would be nice to be able to choose a server more close to the customers.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you want to scale, Redis cloud is the way to go.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Distributed systems. Message Queues. Publish/Subscribe .

"The best out there for Redis hosting"

What do you like best?

Redis Cloud takes away any complexity in hosting and maintaining redis in the cloud. The setup couldn't be easier and so far we've experienced not downtime in almost 2 years. Really happy with the product, the support and the availability of Redis Cloud.

What do you dislike?

Overall the service is great and there's not much I dislike. Future improvements would be to connect with other platforms more easily such as Datadog and other metrics reporting and alerting platforms. The service is a bit expensive as well but again the product is great.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you don't have a DevOps team just go for it. The setup is easy and the service is really reliable. Take a look at the advanced metrics section of the dashboard for mean access to great data.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Storing data in a fast datastore (redis) and not having to manage any of it ourselves.

"Up-and-running Redis Instance"

What do you like best?

I really like it because they offered us a really simple and fast instance provisioning and it just worked as expected! Great!

What do you dislike?

The feature is not really "complete", but for basic operations of Redis, it served well!

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I have developed a lot of tools that needed queues and I have quite a problems making it work in one Redis server, so what I need is a fast and "just-work" solution to solve this problem quickly, and Redis Enterprise is the one that solved this problem.

"Excellent product and team"

What do you like best?

We worked with redislabs for more than 4 years. They helped us to survive to 25 million users per day in our app.

What do you dislike?

Perhaps sometimes we struggle in the solution of the problem, but it's a very cutting edge technology and it's understandable.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use redis cloud as our main database. We don't need

"low latency in-memory database"

What do you like best?

We have been using redis enterprise as our go-toolkit for various projects, especially for distributed in-memory db. With low latency and high throughput, redis enterprise has been suitable for our business purposes, and responsive, supportive team from redislabs has been critical in making our projects a success.

What do you dislike?

Price per shard can be tweaked, and possibly a local office so we can contact them easier.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We need to provide a distributed, low latency platform that allows us do pre-trade checks.

"My go-to Redis-as-a-service provider"

What do you like best?

Redis Cloud integrates well with Heroku and AWS S3, and it makes getting up and running a breeze. Their ability to effortlessly upgrade/downgrade plans without any interruption is incredibly valuable.

What do you dislike?

The web-UI for managing and interacting with your databases is fairly confusing, and often leaves you clicking around wondering which (similarly-named) section ends up holding the item you're looking for.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

We haven't spent a ton of time looking at other Redis-as-a-service offerings, but we've been pretty happy with our experiences with Redis Cloud. Their support has been fairly decent, as has the product – if it seems like it meets your needs and expectations, I'd say go for it.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Redis Cloud lets us quickly scale up and provision Redis instances as needed, on demand. Not having to manage these ourselves has been extremely valuable in freeing up resources for work elsewhere.

"Easy to setup, good for development / side projects"

What do you like best?

We use redis cloud with Heroku. It is really easy to setup, and very affordable.

What do you dislike?

The administration interface is somewhat basic and limited in functionality. Also could use a better cli tool for managing the store.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

caching data with our Rails app.

"Simple ready to use Redis in the Cloud"

What do you like best?

As a heroku plugins, this is very easy to setup, it already come with basic configurations & authentication profile.

I can easily change Eviction Policy and set utilization alerts, the dashboard is very simple but do the job very well

What do you dislike?

Does not allow to manually upgrade redis version, in old setup plugin this is sometimes a problem, even if you completely remove the plugin.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Users sessions and Cache application requests

"Best in class in memory data store"

What do you like best?

Many problems are addressed by Redis. Few of them are Session cache, Redis can be used as a middle layer.

What do you dislike?

Not easy to use.

There will be only one Master with multiple slaves for replication.

All write goes to Master, which creates more load on master node

If Master goes down, whole architecture is prone to SPOF (Single point of failure).

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Its fast, if a lot of data has to be shown in a dashboard, the most important or the frequently accessed ones can be saved in a redis data store and the remaining can be saved in any SQl/NoSQL database

"Not good performant Redis service for high I/O"

What do you like best?

I only liked special care of customer service even though it ended up as a disappointment.

What do you dislike?

There is no pricing information for some services and support team is giving me ambiguous numbers. When I try Redis Cloud Private I couldn't get the performance numbers they claimed I will get. To get 400k ops/sec I shouldn't need 32 shards and pay ~86K$ other than all EC2 costs I will have.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I need a high performant cache to serve real time advertising solution for millions of customers. Even though my dataset is not so big. I really need high throughput.

"Redis without the hassle "

What do you like best?

Very simple and easy integration with Heroku. We use it for many applications in Heroku over many other choices, simple because its dependable and works.

What do you dislike?

Not much to dislike. The UI is a bit outdated and could use some revamping.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Dont cut your self short when choosing your plan.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We needed a caching layer that integrates with Heroku easily and scales accordingly. Redis Cloud did the job as advertised.

"The ease of use is great!"

What do you like best?

The title gives it away, but I cannot make the claim more, ease of use is key! Also reliability and a low barrier to entry. I think for the more practical inquisition let me just say you are going to get your needs met quicker and easier which ultimately saves money.

What do you dislike?

Cross platform integration is still catching up and there is a lot behind the scenes that could come forward.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Sessions and some queries that need to be a little quicker.
