"The best free data visualization tool for early stage/growing companies"

What do you like best about Redash?

The tool is easy to use and has a good user interface. The effort required to create charts/widgets dashboard is minimal once the connected data source. I have been using the tool for a year now, and it serves our needs perfectly. If you are an early-stage startup or a growing company, this tool is a must-have in your tech stack. The software has many data sources to connect to and query the data to create the visualizations. Above all, the tool is free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Redash?

It is relatively challenging to connect the software to your product database, and you might need a dev-ops engineer to do so. But once connected, it works like a charm. The parameters for the visualization can be made more robust like ability to format the date. Apart from this, everything works smooth and fine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Redash:

If you are a growing company or a startup and looking to visualize your data, this software is the best start for you. Imagine excel on steroids or cheaper/early substitute for Tableau. What problems is Redash solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are using Redash as a central place for data visualization, acting as an interface tool between data analysts and executives, and departmental heads. We are also using the software to enable team members who don't know how to code or aren't familiar with writing SQL to download data directly from Redash.
