With Raspbian getting started is easy. Download the OS for your Pi, load it on your sd card and you can get started using your device quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Raspbian?

The solution comes with most things you'll need to get started. The support page and community can also help get you started. They could offer a few different install options like PC and Internet or something like that, and install only the options you're expected to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best Linux for Raspberry Pi you can get"
5/5
What do you like best about Raspbian?

It's free; it's Debian-based; it has a great setup wizard. Lots of software, too. Also, Raspbian is supported by the Raspberry Pi foundation. It's easy to make modifications to this OS to suit our business needs (installing custom in-house developed software). Also it is very lightweight. Lots of ready to use software, it was a breeze to install PostgreSQL. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Raspbian?

Everything is excellent, maybe except one thing: many Linux distributions offer their distros in multiple flavors: for example, command-line only, KDE, XFCE4. Raspbian could have various flavors too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Raspbian is the best OS for Raspberry Pi"
5/5
What do you like best about Raspbian?

The main reason I like Raspbian is that it is based on the Debian OS. It is also built for the ARMv7 platform which is raspberry pis are based.

The Raspbian imager is also very easy to use and has an intuitive user interface. The whole process of creating a SD card with the Raspbian OS is very user friendly and is a joy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Raspbian?

The package mirrors are not very geographically distributed. For example, it does not have a mirror server for my country and even the servers close to my country is not speedy or sometimes broken. The package downloads are slow because of this issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
