"Operating system for compact small PC such as Raspberry pi"
4/5
What do you like best about Raspbian?

A powerful operating system for small embedded system applications. Easy to install on an SD card using Pi Imager and use it on the go. Specifically designed and optimized for Raspberry Pi hardware. Works with PC hardware too. One can install and develop Python-based applications using Raspberry Pi. It can be used as a small portable operating system. Raspbian supports many programming languages such as C, C++, Python, etc. The latest Raspbian has graphics support for rendering large size graphics and is compatible with many such programs. What do you dislike about Raspbian?

The user interface needs to be easier to use and smooth as compared to Ubuntu. Installation of new tools and programming interfaces is not easy in Raspbian. Good for beginners and for small applications but has performance issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very easy to install, compact and a powerful operating system for Raspberry Pi. Makes it very easy to program Pi peripherals using python, c, C++. By far the best OS for Pi. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Raspbian?

There is nothing much to dislike. UI and security can be upgraded to look more advanced like Ubuntu. And installing third party apps is a little bit tricky process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Raspberry Pi operating systems that are perfect for teaching youngsters to code"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Raspbian?

Raspberry Pi formally supports Raspbian. The raspberry pi is a full computer thanks to its many features and excellent user interface. Raspbian's primary features include the inclusion of Scratch to teach children programming and the ability to communicate with external components using the many interfaces built into the Raspberry Pi, including the GPIO for electronic integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Raspbian?

Could not effectively handle highly complicated algorithms. The built-in web browser is presenting content in an odd and edgy way, and platform limitations prevent me from installing Chrome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lightweight Linux distro for inexpensive hosts"

What do you like best about Raspbian?

I like having a complete Linux environment available on these inexpensive, small computers. All the software I am familiar with is there, or can be installed/built. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Raspbian?

I dislike some of the defaults (i.e., pre-configuring WiFi and the $LOCALE before first boot is annoying and manual), but those are small issues that I know how to resolve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
