"Best light weight OS ever with heavy performance"
5/5
What do you like best about Raspbian?

Raspbian is most helpful in IoT projects where the use cases are limited but need high performance. Raspbian solves it when installed on its complimentary compact Raspberry Pi. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Raspbian?

One of the critical disadvantages is that the OS's user interface, which is based on Linux, is complex for beginners and students who might be critical users of Raspbian. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Raspbian review"
3/5
What do you like best about Raspbian?

Raspbian can be easily installed on Windows, and we can easily code and decode our codes in this, as it is the cheapest in the world. Almost everyone prefers to have Raspbian on laptops or computers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Raspbian?

In Raspbian, we don't have an internet explorer called Chrome. Sometimes we need a VPN to work on Raspbian, which makes me feel unsafe and insecure at times. Also, it works on 32-bit rather than 64-bit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Operating System for Raspberry Pi platforms"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Raspbian?

Its simple, powerful and fully hardware compatible linux distribution, with specific features designed to interface directly with hardware level IO's, and supports wide range of useful packages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Raspbian?

Beta versions tend to be bit unstable and any abrupt process crash / package incompatibility might lead to irreversible OS corruption. The device may not boot and lose data permanently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It's very definition of "Simple is best""
4.5/5
What do you like best about Raspbian?

It is very stable. The OS Raspberry Pi SBCs are tailored for, and you can see it on the standard functionality out of the box. Recommend this OS if you are tinkering with it for the first time or if you are not entirely sure of how things in an SBC work. The system has most tools needed to control the onboard peripherals like the GPIO and comes bundled with all the basic stuff needed to make a computer run like one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Raspbian?

It takes up a lot of RAM on devices that already don't have much RAM, which can be a deal-breaker for people trying to implement something more sophisticated on it. It also has the problem that it might not work well with all scientific and robotic community tools well, so people should consider trying other more advanced and streamlined distros out there. "Raspbian an awesome OS for pi"
5/5
What do you like best about Raspbian?

More than just an OS, it offers over 35000 packages of pre-compiled software. Most recommended OS for Raspberry Pi. Everything is simplified, and we can configure Pi without prior knowledge, like controlling GPIO and building various projects in Pi. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Raspbian?

I don't dislike much. One of the reasons I wouldn't say I like it is the high consumption of ram; it's hard to run it on a 1GB system. Sometimes the Pi crashes (Rarely) and fails to boot Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

4/5
What do you like best about Raspbian?

Raspbian provides anything that you could really need with an OS for embedded systems! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Raspbian?

Raspbian can be difficult to modify or observe without the UI, so this can make using it difficult in areas without power/wifi. Other than that, it is just not widely applicable outside of use with a Raspberry Pi. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
