I honestly think most companies that are data-oriented should have exMon DQ, because we all need to know about anomalies and wrong registrations in our data and quickly. exMon Data Management is also very beneficial in my line of work and is a perfect alternative to Excel when it comes to storing all kinds of tables and manual data. Using Excel in an enterprise environment for Power BI can be problematic and among other things exMon DM makes all those problems go away. I really like that importing data has all sorts of options, such as import from clipboard, database or files. **What do you dislike about Pxier Event?** Not many downsides but I think exMon DQ could benfit from a UI facelift. Some components could very well be created via drag-and-drop. Even some modern features such as notifications or a Teams message instead of email. **What problems is Pxier Event solving and how is that benefiting you?** I would say the problem-solving features of exMon are mostly twofold: helping us monitor and inform users about exceptions and anomalies in the data with Data Quality, and making manual data entry simple for users and data engineers on the other end with Data Governance. Both features are very valuable and highly recommended. ### 2. Processes are easily created from individual tasks and run on as many schedules as needed. Process maps provide an excellent overview of the overall status, and when things need to be back on track, business users can restart processes from the web portal. Exception management has proved invaluable on many occasions both to provide data integrity assurance and point out discrepancies. When a data quality exception has been raised, it can be assigned to a business user or a group of users for resolution **What do you dislike about Pxier Event?** I've been using Exmon for over ten years in two organizations. Of course, there have been issues, but these have been quickly resolved, and the Exmon products have grown in capabilities over the years and provided significant value for management and data quality **What problems is Pxier Event solving and how is that benefiting you?** Exmon provides a framework to tackle data quality issues, master data management and process governance ### 4. The selling point was to be effective and quick in getting different formats of data into a database, but has also solved many other kinds of data issues we have run into. Good for data governance and monitoring. **What do you dislike about Pxier Event?** I have only had a few minor issues/bugs, all of which were solved sufficiently. The Exmon tools do what you think they should do very well, so I do not have anything to dislike really. I of course can wish for some additional features to be added in the future, and have actually had some added through support request already. **What problems is Pxier Event solving and how is that benefiting you?** Good at solving problems we've had with data integration and flexibility. Added some nice data governance and monitoring features that we were looking for (such as self service monitoring capabilities for users), and was still within a good price range. ### 5. We save time by using Exmon and have more faith in our data. Managers and executives have more faith in our data and our revenue after we started using Exmon. **What do you dislike about Pxier Event?** We have not seen a downside so far! Our only advice is to have time to implement this great tool and to have the right mindset of the users. This is not a space for an improvement for Exmon, more as a keep in mind for the user. **What problems is Pxier Event solving and how is that benefiting you?** Exmon is monitoring if our customer database is current and contains the correct information for billing. We had a rather large revenue leak, and after that, we needed more comfort in our data, which led to the implementation of Exmon. We have more comfort after the implementation that we are collecting all and correct revenue. It does not matter whether you are orchestrating a full cloud setup, an on-prem setup or a hybrid setup - you create packages from various sources and combine them into a exMon process to run at your leasure. In addition exMon manages all the executions and you get an email if something goes wrong, thus you do not have to manage countless of portals to see if some of your executions are failing. **What do you dislike about Pxier Event?** We need more Azure and AWS integrations in exMon to make exMon a more comprehensive orchestrator. Also the gateway is still very premature and needs to be easier to use, to make the exMon network easier to manage. **What problems is Pxier Event solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use exMon for alot of things, process management, intergrating various software (Azure, SSIS, Python, Powershell, databases, AD ,etc.) into processes, data quality, data governance. ### 7. Nobody does what exMon do at the same price. Having the ability to collect and maintain the data in the Data Management Modul - killing the random excel sheets and hard-to-reach manual updated table in the SQL database, that we all have and putting a nice interface and a structure around it works. The Data Governance workflow and the ability to easily notify users and data stewards when data quality is not compliant with the rules makes it easy to move work tasks from the central MDM organization into the business units and make them responsible for their own data. You have, as far as I know, the only process management tool where you can orchestrate on-premis and cloud in the same pipeline no matter if you're using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, PowerShell, Python and so many more. You can even give control to the business of certain parts of a pipeline. Then you have Data governance where you can write rules against multiple types of data sources to validate or test quality. You can then create a process or workflow so the quality issues are not lost or forgotten. Lastly you have Data Management which gives you a lightweight but powerful MDM system or data import/entry system. Many MDM systems are huge and expensive and require extensive training, exMon Data Management is simple to start using but powerful as you can write all the rules and validation in SQL. Another great feature is to allow the business to import or type in data that doesn't belong to a system or is from a unreachable system. For data professional like me it's so much better to have the data in a database instead of in Excel/CSV files or in SharePoint lists. You can even add validation to prevent or highlight bad data. All in all I'm very impressed with the exMon suite of tools and highly recommended them to anyone serious about data consistency and quality **What do you dislike about Pxier Event?** I would like to see more built in examples to get new customers started. Tror someone with experience it's no problem but for new users it would be helpful. Other that that I'm happy with exMon **What problems is Pxier Event solving and how is that benefiting you?** Multiple business problems are solved via exMon as highlighted in my description. The most important one, in my opinion, is to help increase visibility into data pipelines and data issues. It allows you as IT, to involve the business on all levels and even give the business some self-service capabilities, when it comes to data management ### 10. I also really like their exMon DG software that helps me stop bad data and monitor various processes. **What do you dislike about Pxier Event?** Their new offering, the online Portal is great, but it has some downsides. For example, it would be great to get the hierarchy feature to work online, but that is probably the only thing I dislike. **What problems is Pxier Event solving and how is that benefiting you?** I for example use exMon DM when I need a place to store my "homeless" data. I also use it to further enrich my data, such as creating accounting trees. I also use exMon DG a lot to monitor my data and processes. ### 11. It enables me to create automated processes with monitoring. It is also very easy to use, exMonDM especially (if you have used Excel before) **What do you dislike about Pxier Event?** I don't really dislike anything about exMon, the one thing I would say is that I have been using it for some time and when I started it still had some bugs, so that was not ideal. **What problems is Pxier Event solving and how is that benefiting you?** Automating processes that would have to be run by hand each day and collecting these processes in one place so it is understandable and accessable. All of these environamenst and more seem native to exMon DG. The ability to compare data in segregated environments in a single query; without having to extract and stage the various data saves so much time and previous data store capacity. These are only a few of the great features of this platform. **What do you dislike about Pxier Event?** It is difficult to find anything, in our environment; mostly late 90's and newer, we have still be wanting for a data quality platform and reporting which has been achieved with exMon DG. It can handle a lot of workloads, is robust, and built on the ASP.NET Framework from Microsoft. It can handle whatever you throw at it and the features do work as intended. They also offer a few customizations. For $40 a month, the features that they offer is not too bad. **What do you dislike about Pxier Event?** User-friendliness is nonexistent. They really need to hire a UX/UI designer. They have buttons that are labeled with the same name that handle different functionality. They aren't intuitive and seem counter-productive. Support was absent as well. It took a while for them to respond to our issues, that's if they responded. They do promise a lot of features and functionality, but it has a steep learning curve and is painful to use. If you get a hang of it, it starts to make sense, but that's a big if. The software can also become a little more expensive once you add functionality to it. If you compare software like Dubsado or HoneyBook, you'll probably have a more solid project management system in place, for the same price. **Recommendations to others considering Pxier Event:** Rethink paying for this. They really need to redesign their User Interface if they wish to remain competitive. They do have the functionality down, but the interface makes it painful to work with. Try out other software for project management like Dubsado or HoneyBook. They offer more functionality for less. **What problems is Pxier Event solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were handling our entire workflow for our Event venue through this software. It helped keep things in one area.
