What do you dislike about Windchill?

When it comes to PTC Windchill software, I often find myself frustrated by its steep learning curve and the user interface, which I consider to be far from intuitive. Additionally, I have encountered performance issues and noticed that a significant amount of administrative effort is needed to implement the software effectively. What do you like best about Windchill?

I appreciate PTC Windchill's advanced search feature, which allows me to use specific criteria to pull reports and audit a large number of released objects. This helps me quickly determine what objects require revision or risk assessment. I also value how Windchill shows the relationships between various objects within the system, making it easier to manage and understand complex data structures. What do you dislike about Windchill?

The release process can be incredibly frustrating and signature templates can only be updated by a few admins. Allowing the template to be customized within the process flow or allowing the ECM to be reassigned permanently if its owner leaves the company would be a huge benefit. Right now, the owner can be changed, but if the ECN is rejected, all reassignments must be redone. Additionally, the initial setup is not particularly intuitive, and new team members struggle without the help of someone with tribal knowledge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
