- It is a very reliable and user-friendly software for designing printed circuit board (PCBs), testing the designed electronic circuits.
- Includes a wide variety of micro controllers in its library, and also it has the option of adding more circuits to its library.
- It includes a 3D viewer, which is an excellent feature in designing boards.
- PCBs up to 16 layers can be designed by this tool.
- The tool outputs can be transferred to other software such as Soliworks, Autodesk for further design and mounting the board.
- A lot of NXP, Texas Instruments, Atmel and PIC microchips are included in the tool's library.
- Proteus is free for trial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- For permanent use of this tool, the software needs to be purchased.
- The software does not include all the hardware or libraries, or electronic devices.
- The software can not simulate the hardware problems like breaking of a wire in between, loose contacts, or physical faults in the circuit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
