Workato comes up repeatedly for its no-code, low-code recipe builder, with reviewers specifically noting that non-technical people can pick it up quickly, and that it uses recognizable programming terminology rather than confusing proprietary language. A citizen developer program is mentioned as helping stakeholders without engineering backgrounds implement automations themselves.

Prismatic leans more toward developer-native building, so it's less of a fit if you're specifically trying to avoid engineering involvement, though reviewers do note the visual workflow design reduces some of the coding burden.

The better test is whether product or ops teams can handle the common 80–90% of integrations themselves, while engineers only step in for custom auth, unusual data models, or edge-case error handling.
