There is not much more to like. **What do you dislike about Intuit ProSeries Tax?** We rarely, if ever, get through to a support person. When we do reach a support person, it is always a first-level support person who does not understand the tax question or the technical questions we pose. They are "not allowed" to transfer phone calls to someone who might understand the question according to one support person we spoke with recently, and the supervisors who assist in the background also seem to have little tax knowledge or hands on experience with the software. The list of defects is endless. The CT EITC form does not work correctly, the software does not pass on to a Connecticut part-year return a 1099R distribution, and it does not pass on to a Connecticut resident return a 1099R with a distribution code PJ in box 7, and the list goes on and on. We had to work in Windows 7 compatibility mode until it was fixed late in the season by a Windows 10 update worked out with Proseries. Compatibility mode slowed everything down to a crawl. Support took a minimum of 2 hours on hold Proseries did away with chat which was faster and easier for support Constant updates which sometimes caused a new problem that wasn't there before. Consistency was a real issue. Had to print Federal then go back and print State because it would print the state figures two lines above the actual line if you tried to print both federal and state at the same time. Release of forms was behind the curve so we were held up waiting on a form to be finished and released on many returns. Queue times this year are 2 plus hours 2) "Please Reinstall" - has been the support lines answers to all our issues. 3) Product instability/performance. The bigger your Homebase, the longer the app load time. I've been buying High RAM/High CPU desktops for my entire staff to meet the needs of this program. But I would caution, you do need to need to understand what some of the more complicated forms entail to do it correctly. **What do you dislike about Intuit ProSeries Tax?** If someone has a same scenario as a prior year, you can guage if you are on target. But for more complicated issues such as self employment, child care, college credit, rental income, the user needs to know the ins and outs of the tax law to maximize their return. **What problems is Intuit ProSeries Tax solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is a great planning tool to help people determine withholdings, plan strategies (sales), pay ahead, get married, divorced... whatever is necessary!! Plus, it can complete your taxes. ### 29. But also in a soon-to-be paperless society, it also offers the option of PDF copies for the tax clients. Saves on paper and ink. When you work with numbers, you have no idea how much strain you put on your eyes. Soft colors and rounded edges help. I know it may seem like a simple little thing but it works wonders not only on eyestrain but also how you feel at the end of the day. Accounting has been done with little thought to this up until the last 5+ years I would say. **What do you dislike about Intuit ProSeries Tax?** Set up, if name change, is through the company, I think that this is kind of like when Wal Mart asks to view your receipt upon leaving. **Recommendations to others considering Intuit ProSeries Tax:** Find a software you like and stick with it. Suggest changes, they may take them into account. Much easier than having to re-enter multiple employees, drivers or vendors when doing billing.
