Tessian is one of the leading Email security solution provider. It has a very extensive threat intel database consisting of bad sender email domains, keywords, BEC detections and IP addresses etc. which helps detect malicious intent of business emails. It uses AI/ML techniques to detect new generation attack techniques which leverages Phishing. You have access to many configuration related to whitelisting and blacklisting of Email domains or addresses which helps you manage your business email security infra safe. What do you dislike about Proofpoint Adaptive Email Security?

Email is a very crucial service for any organisation and attackers use this service to abuse users and businesses. Phishing is one of the most well known attack vector leveraged by threat actors to get access to company data and information. What do you like best about Proofpoint Adaptive Email Security?

The data loss prevention with Tessian works very well. We had incidents were users were sending emails to the wrong email addresses. Tessian is able to see this and prompts the user to check the recipient address Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Proofpoint Adaptive Email Security?

We still have exchange deployed on-premises. We have not been able to use some of the advanced features Tessian offers for services like Office 365. What problems is Proofpoint Adaptive Email Security solving and how is that benefiting you?

Click-happy users can be problematic. The warnings on user's workstations help them make a more conscious decion before clicking links in an email. What do you like best about Proofpoint Adaptive Email Security?

The faster a security professional can respond to and remediate a threat can mean all the differnce in an attack. Not only is there visibility on the security front, Tessian also educates end users in the moment with their behavioral and learned knowledge of each user. The dashboarding is well created and customizable, giving the security team a clear view of the metrics that best serve their purposes. At the same time cancelling out the noise of un-needed inoformation. Integration into Proofpoint and Microsoft was seemless and simple. The UI on the operator side is easy to understand and navigate. There are no wasted clicks in order to find the information you need. Overall, this tool is easy to use on both the technical side as well as the end user side. Prevention of email misdelivery, data exfil and basic human error should be one of the most important areas in any orgs cybersecurity posture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Proofpoint Adaptive Email Security?

Without a large amount of data/users inputted some of the functions of the tool, understandably, do not preform as well as they could. Some companies do not have thousands of employees utilizing email or would be transmitting proprietary information. Exporting data is available only in PDF version, not .csv. What problems is Proofpoint Adaptive Email Security solving and how is that benefiting you?

Currently in the POC stage, we have integrated a set of users to determine that very thing. How we use Tessian will be determined on findings in the life of the POC. One of the benefits we will be looking at is the ability given to end users in the behavioral analyses of known sending habits, recipients, attachments and verbiage. Data exfiltration is one wrong email address away, so having Tessian triple check the sending addresses and attachments can be vital in data protection. In the event of sending the wrong thing to the wrong person, Tessian can alert the security team, allowing us to remediate issues before they become an incident. This product has reduced our accidental data loss emails quite considerably and since turning on the defender module we have also noticed a big reduction in phishing emails getting through and reduction in service desk tickets being raised. Compared with legacy email security solutions, Tessian's offering is very easy to both setup & use and performs very well against the most common email threats such as impersonation, business email compromise, phishing, malicious attachments etc. Native integration with SIEM solutions such as Splunk makes getting log events into third party systems easy. Product is always getting more features and the Tessian team is working hard, listening to customers and implementing their requirements; despite this, some "not essential but nice to have" features such as being able to see the email body contents inside the platform itself without having to go to an external system have been only recently implemented and weren't available from the very beginning when we started using the product. What problems is Proofpoint Adaptive Email Security solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are utilising Tessian for a multitude of inbound/outbound email use cases; unintentional email mishaps such as a misdirected email (e.g. user sending to similar sounding third party rather than internal corporate user, user emailing themselves on their personal email address rather than their corporate email address etc.) or an email where multiple recipients have been CCed instead of BCCed. Tessian is also good at detecting each user's usual email behaviour, identifying all their personal email addresses and flagging anything abnormal such as intentional data exfiltration. In terms of inbound email protection, Tessian has helpfully flagged email impersonation attempts when external attackers impersonate our CEO, for example; additionally, it has spotted multiple unsolicited marketing campaigns, phishing emails and can be easily configured to look for & block inbound malicious attachments such as binary executables.
