## About Project Commnander
Project Commander is a construction project management software solution built for mechanical, electrical, MEP, ductwork, and insulation contractors in the UK. It centralises contract management, cost control, procurement, and reporting in one system, enabling contractors to manage projects from awarded tender through to final account. The software is designed as a practical alternative to spreadsheets and disconnected systems, giving contractors greater visibility and control over project finances throughout the full project lifecycle. The software connects directly with Ensign Estimating, allowing budgets, labour times, and cost breakdowns to flow into live project financials without rekeying. Users can track actual costs against estimates in real time, log and value variations, raise and manage purchase orders, and record subcontractor and direct labour activity. Applications for payment can be generated directly within the system, and CVR reporting and cashflow forecasting tools provide commercial teams with the information needed to manage margins and report progress accurately. Project Commander also integrates with Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks, and is cloud-based, allowing access from office, site, or home on PC, tablet, or Mac. Project Commander is used by UK contractors ranging from small subcontractors to large Tier 1 businesses, across a range of project types and values. It is developed and supported in-house by Ensign Software, which has been providing software to the UK construction industry since 1980. The software is continuously developed based on contractor feedback, ensuring it keeps pace with industry changes and contractor requirements. Support is provided by an in-house team with in-depth knowledge of contractor project management workflows.
